Frank Zane's measurements....

im having trouble finding his measurements. ive been looking for them because my goal is to be his size. does anyone know where i can find them?

this pic is what im aiming for.

im sure that size wont be that hard to obtain, id say he looks about 15stone there??

46" chest
30" waist
13-13.5" forearms
26.5-27" quads
15.5-16" calves

and shredded/conditioned to **** id say, guys farrr from big but extremely conditioned

he had 18 to 19inch arms at his prime, 28inch waist, 200lbs at his heaviest and normally around 180-190, 5'9, and in contest condition which for him was as ripped as anyone got at that time.

also i believe that pic was from the 1980 olympia, where he was in poor form (for him) by his own admittance....he lacked the 5lbs-10lbs of mass and the conditioning that won him the olympia title the 3 previous years

despite what trolls and mass addicts here may say, he was not a swimmer compared to other bodybuilders of his time, he was smaller than them, but his conditioning, aesthetics, proportions and his posing and presentation were far superior to his competitors. I have included a comparison pic of him next to Franco Columbo, a "mass monster" of his time and a mr olympia winner

It amazes me when people post this pic to point how small he is, and actually he looks better than franco there IMHO! He looks big too.

damn never seen that pic of him, guys insanely sharp there. Holds his own against franco from the front buttt they turn around and its lights out zane. Still the guy looked amazing

thanks everyone. i am 190 like he was but im also 6' and not as cut as him. i have some work to do still for the size but i think its a realistic goal seeing as my arms are 15.5, chest is 45, legs are 24, shoulders are 16.5 around, and waist is around 30-31 so i got to bring up my body still. i never really want to get too big because well im not competing but i want to look good and have a reasonable amout of size.

wow ur quite possibly the biggest idiot on here, his calves were at least 18 inches, his arms are 18.5 and his forearms are like 15

yeah, he's a real shrimp... so funny when folks say he wasn't big or looked like a swimmer. if he was standing nextto anyone of us you would know the truth of it. imnsho, big doesn't look good or admirable, just bigger.

when people are talking about his size they are talking in relation to other bodybuilders. alot of natural guys look better than him and have the same weight, so in that way his physique is not impressive, nor does it stand the test of time.

Timmy depending on your genetics (i.e. Ecto, small frame) I think you can achieve a build like Zanes. But if you are big boned ( Endo or Meso) then I think you would surpass his frame. And since you are only 18 achieving his build is not far fetch since you have alot of time. I have always thought my build was similar to Franks. I have posted side by side pics of Frank and I before on here. Here are 2 pics of me and Frank side by side, again sorry that hey keep coming out black and white and somewhat blurry when I cut, paste and crop to size them.

hey man, looking good. im actually an ecto/meso. but yea ive got time and i seem to gain weight at a good pace. it took me a year and a bit to go from 145 ish to 190. im sure my gains will slow eventually.im hoping to be close to that size after college, which for me will be in like 3 years(one year back in hs, 2 in college). but yea man, your proportions are pretty much the same as his. keep it up.

Depending on your BF% if you are already 190lbs (LBM) you will pass his frame. How tall are you? In that pic I was 193lbs 10% bf at 5'8"

im 6'0'' so i think it might take a bit longer i guess. my measurements are posted in here and im not sure of my bf%. i think its around 10% - 15%, 15 might be pushing it though.

So the guy doesn't have a physique that is unattainable. That doesn't mea it doesn't stand the test of time. I guarantee you that with the tech we have now he would be the equivant of a dex troy alves or darrem charles. Hey a meso is always going to be the ideal. Those closer to that will be considered better.

lol I can't think of a single top natural (a real natural) who looks as good as zane, Rob Hope is the closest I can think of, and the naturals of zane's time, psshh no way, and come on doesnt stand the test of time, here is a thread full of people admiring his physique 30 years after zane's prime! bs

lol 18.5" arms, you believe arny had 22s too yeah? the guy has a tiny frame theres no wayyy he had 18 1/2s even in his prime. Pros nowdays struggle to get 21-22s and thats with synthol addin 2inches+(igf/site injections etc). end of story(15" forearms.. lol). I underestimated his measurements a tad but they're way more realistic then yours

Measurements really don't mean anything, but at 6' 190lbs that is on the thin side, but you might appear bigger than the actual stat.

i dont have any pics right now but i dont look too thin. because my legs are not big enough and i naturally dont weigh much so that 190 looks more than some other people i know who are 6' and have 10-15 pounds on me. maybe bone density? like people dont call me skinny but i still think i need to get bigger. comparred to you though i prolly look thin.

18.5 sounds believable......Zane had huge tri's

I'm 5'7" 165 lbs around 10% bf and I have 17" arms.........my forearms are 12.5"
