    1quick1's Controlled Labs White Blood PM log

    Hello everyone. My name is Chad and I've been selected to a 30 day product test for Controlled Labs testing out the product White Blood http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=712725 White Blood is typically taken 45-60 pre-workout however in addition to the normal dosage I will be taking another dosage at bed time. The theory is that there could be substantial benefits in taking a NO2 product before bed.

    My Info:
    I'm 22 years old. I'm currently 175lbs and 5'9.5'' Played sports my whole life. I've been weight training for 4-5 years off and on. For the bulk of this I was young and uninformed so there were plenty of things I was doing wrong, mainly a poor diet. Only until I found BB.com did I start getting serious about getting into shape and straitening out my diet. I work at a hospital 3rd shift so I will do all my updates for this log at night. This is also why you will notice all my weird workout times and eating times (breakfast at 7pm, etc)

    I've recently just finished up my first cut. Everything went well and achieved the goals I set out.

    Goals:
    My near future goals are to add 1-2 lbs of muscle per week and to do it eating as clean as possible. I'd like to get back up to around 190 while maintaining a low(er) BF%. From all the research I've done 1-2 pounds per week is achievable but it may take me a week or two to get the ball rolling since I'm coming from a cutting diet so it might take a little fine tuning to figure out where I need to be with my diet and calories.

    Plan:
    I will be doing 40/40/20 protein, carbs, fats. The plan is to settle in somewhere between 3500-5000 calories a day during the bulk. Like I said it might take a week or two (maybe longer) to get it tweaked to where I need to be.

    Diet:
    This is a rough draft of the foods I'll be eating during the bulk give or take anything I forgot.

    Bob's Red Mill Steel cut oats
    Eggs whole (usually Large)
    Skim Milk may jump up to 2% we'll see
    Whole wheat bread
    Boneless skinless chicken breast
    Tuna
    Veggies (broccoli, green beans, etc.)
    Fruits (apples and bananas)
    Cottage cheese
    Smuckers Natural PB
    Brown Rice
    Salmon
    Lean Turkey
    1.5 - 2 gallons of water
    More to come....

    Supplements:
    ON whey chocolate
    Fish Body pills
    AST 32x Multivitamin
    Flax oil pills
    Prima Force Lean Green tea extract
    White Blood (pre-workout and before bed)
    Green Bulge(pre_workout)
    Prima force Bulk CEE(post-workout)

    Exercise schedule:
    Monday: Chest/Tri's
    Tuesday: Legs/Abs
    Wed: off or a light cardio day for the sake of staying in shape
    Thursday: Bi's/Shoulders
    Friday: Back

    My typical daily schedule will go something like this:
    6pm wake up WB+GB (5 GB and 3 WB)
    7pm whey/carbs 2 fish-body pills, 1 flax oil pill, 1 multivitamin
    7pm Gym
    8:30pm Post-workout whey/Now dextrose/carbs/1 serving bulk CEE
    10:00pm Primaforce Lean Green tea extract
    10:30pm eggs/whole wheat toast/milk
    11pm work
    12:30am Primaforce Lean Green tea extract
    1:00am Chicken breast/brown rice/veggies
    4:00am Tuna/Veggies 2 fish body pills, 1 flax oil pill
    7:00am Milk/cottage cheese/PB 2 fish body pills, 1 flax pill, 1 multivitamin
    8:30am White Blood (3 pills)
    8:30am - 9am BED

    As I said I have a 3rd shift job so I spend a lot of time on the site at night. I will do my best to provide updates and answer any questions you may have.

    Tomorrow is day one and I'm pretty exited. I will get an officialy weight tomorrow as well when starting. I'll also get my pics posted tomorrow.

    Before pics are now added to my initial post. Today I went to the grocery store and picked up a bunch of groceries. I found a dealer in town that has Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats so I picked up about 5lbs. Also I picked up a coffee grinder from Target and man oh man is this the greatest thing ever. It makes the oats go down very easily in my shakes.

    I will post day 1 results tomorrow. Stay tuned.

    Yesterday was chest/tri's. My schedule was right on.

    6pm wake up
    6:30pm GB
    6:45 WB
    7:30 pre-workout shake 2 scoops whey/banana/steel cut oats
    7:40 Gym
    9:00 PWO shake/bulk CEE/2 scoops whey/dextrose/oats (60grams of protein 100 grams carbs)
    10:15 Post workout meal eggs/toast/milk
    1:30am Chicken/brown rice/green beans
    4:30am Tuna/whole wheat bread/apple
    7:30am 12oz of milk/1/2 cup of cottage cheese/2 tbsp Natty PB
    8:45am WB/Bed

    My BMR is 2100 calories so right now I'm taking in 3300 calories. I will weigh myself next week to see if I'm making any gains. If I'm not I will add 300 calories until I start gaining. I track everything I eat throughout the day with Fitday.com

    My workout went like this.

    Overall it was a pretty decent workout. My lifting buddy and I really concentrated on good form and slow movements. Today I'm really sore so yesterdays workout went pretty good.

    Nothing noticable about the WB in the first day but I know it takes sometime for the pumps to kick in. Until then. Tonight is legs and abs.

    DAY 2

    Yesterday was legs/abs. Got a decent workout in. Did squats, leg press, leg extensions, calf raises, weighted crunches, leg lifts, and side bends. Once again we concentrated on good form and slow movements. Next week we will start bumping up weights.

    Diet was pretty close to right on yesterday. 3217 calories, 337 grams of protein, 291 grams of carbs, 70 grams of fat. Broke down to about 44% protein, 36%carbs, 20%fat. This was spread through 6 meals.

    I'm pretty sore today when I woke up which leads me to my next thing. 2 days in a row now I've taken the WB about 9am before bed (remember I'm a third shifter) and both days now I've woken up after about 4 hours of sleep and I'm having a hard time falling back asleep. I will see if it happens again tomorrow.

    Tonight is normally a day off but we're bumping everything forward a day because my buddy needs friday off. So tonight will be shoulders/bi's and tomorrow night will be back.

    Alright, back to bed. Hopefully I can get 4 more solid hours of sleep before the gym tonight.

    Alright guys. Time for an update. After my last post, sleep has been fine. I have got great sleep and only woke up to go to the bathroom, but I've been able to fall right back asleep. Either way today was my first off day and the whole day I've felt completely pumped. My arms and chest just feel rock hard. I must say that my pumps have kicked in much faster compared to the last time I've taken WB. I'm actually kind of sad that today was an off day when I started feeling pumped. I'm really looking forward to Monday to do my chest/tri workout. Sooooo until then, I can't wait for a great workout on Monday!

    Now time for the fun stuff. Had a great workout today. I had some real strong pumps. The funny thing is I felt pumped before even touching the weights. The most noticable thing to me about this PM test so far is how quickly the "pumps" began compared to the first time I've taken WB or taken other NO2 products.

    I'll start by saying last night I had a great night of sleep. My waterbed heater went out so I had to drain my bed and sleep on the floor. Well, I got very, very good sleep last night. I slept at one point for 6 hours without waking up. Very suprising for having to sleep on the hard floor but I'm not complaining. Besides that today was leg day. I had a great workout with an increase in all weights. I do have some bad news though. I weighed myself in today and I was 174.5lbs. Exactly what I was when I started. I've been taking in 3300 calories a day so in a few days if I see no gains I will bump it up to 3700. I honestly was suprised that I made no gains from how hard I've been lifting and how much I've been eating. Oh well I guess it's time to eat more

    Got the new water bed heater in and while I was at it picked up some new pillows and a comforter. Not cheap ones either. The plan is to concentrate on the quality of sleep I'm getting. I also ordered do shades for my bedroom to block out some day time sunlight. Last night I had another great night of sleep. I'm really starting to think the WB increases my quality of sleep. At first it seemed like it was making it worse but now it's totally the opposite. I seem to fall right asleep and I stay asleep for longer intervals without waking up. My sleep also seems to be much deeper. We'll see how this progresses.

    Today is a day off. I've noticed that recovery time seems to be increased. I can actually walk the next day after my leg workout although my chest/tri's are still sore from monday, but I'm not complaining. It reminds me to keep feeding my muscles. Tomorrow is shoulders/bi's. I will continue to post updates on my sleep quality and recovery time. The pumps have kicked in, but I won't get into too much detail about them since there's about 500 threads about the pumps you get from WB but I will say (like I said in an earlier post) that the pumps definitely kicked in much quicker but I'm assuming that it's from the increased daily dosages.

    Today was Shoulders/bi's but my workout buddy couldn't lift today so I decided to do just bi's and we'll do back/shoulders tomorrow (tonight). I had a pretty good workout.

    I had another great night of sleep last night. I don't know if it's the WB or the fact I just got a new heated waterbed, a $200 down comforter, or 2 $50 pillows, but man I've got some good sleep lately. Today when I got home from work about 8am I smashed the last of my cottage cheese (about 1 cup) and washed it down with 32oz of water. I layed down to watch sports center and the plan was to take my bed time dose at about 9am then go to sleep. Well, I fell asleep and didn't wake up til 12 noon. I took the 3 caps of WB and went back to sleep. I had some really deep sleep from this point until about 6pm when I woke up. Like I said I'm not sure if it's the WB or the ridiculously comfortable bed but I will say that I can remember my dreams today and that doesn't happen too often.

    Alright, well tonight is back/shoulders. I'm looking for a really hard workout tonight. I will post up tonight about how my night of sleep and my workout went.

    Great sleep continues. I went to bed pretty late today 11am but the good thing is I didn't wake up a single time until my alarm went off at 6pm. Did back/shoulders today. Nothing too out of the ordinary to post except I got a good pump going on my T-rows and deadlifts. Next two days are off which means time to recover. Good thing too since my bi's are really sore from my workout on thursday. Am I the only person who wakes up and first thing check my muscles to see if they're sore? Oh on a side note too I was up 2 lbs today but I weighed myself at the end of the workout after I drank a half gallon of water so we'll see.

    Chest/tri's today. I got my first taste of an extreme pump. My arms and chest were so pumped they actually almost hurt. It was weird but I actually had a bicep pump too. I didn't have a increase in weights this week but I was able to squeeze out a few extra reps on the sets we did. Overall was a great workout. We definitely left it all in the gym today. Legs/abs tomorrow I'm excited (as usual) to get in there and see how it goes.

    Oh btw I'm up 3lbs from day 1

    Legs

    The workout today went great. Did squats, leg press, seated extensions, laying extension, and standing calve raises. I don't talk much about the weights I use for legs because, well, it's not very good (had a knee injury from a motorcycle accident) but either way I'm getting stronger and stronger each workout and I'm about 95% from the plaguing injury I had. I'm really concentrating on getting my form perfect. So please take it easy on me with the legs.

    So far though I've noticed from the PM white blood dosage: Improved recovery and deeper sleep. My pumps also kicked in much faster then other times I've taken NO2 products. I'm really enjoying the deeper sleep though. I've been able to go to bed and only wake up once through the night to go to the bathroom while I use to wake up 4-5 times.

    Tomorrow is shoulders/bi's. I can't wait.

    Recovery from my leg workout yesterday has been good. I'm sore but not nearly as sore as I would've expected. Great sleep is still continuing. I don't know what it is with the WB but I fall right asleep and I stay asleep. I'm really like the deep sleep I've been getting.

    Every set of curls was to failure and the preacher curls my spotter helped a little to squeeze a few extra out.

    I think I may look into some extend or some Purple Wraath when it comes out because after the brutal beating we put on the bi's by the time I got to shoulders I could hardly lift my arms. I've also considered increasing my carbs in my pre=workout shake also. Right now my pre-workout shake is 1/2cup of steal cut oats and 2 scoops of whey. Breaks down to 520 calories, 60grams of protein, 54grams of carbs. This is also my first meal of the day.

    The total workout took 50 minutes. When I looked back I couldn't believe we only did 4 exercises but the intensity of these exercises was extremely high, especially in our bicep workouts. Like I said I could hardly lift my arms we were pushing so hard.

    Tomorrow is an off day and I'll be resting.

    Recovery from my leg workout yesterday has been good. I'm sore but not nearly as sore as I would've expected. Great sleep is still continuing. I don't know what it is with the WB but I fall right asleep and I stay asleep. I'm really like the deep sleep I've been getting.

    Every set of curls was to failure and the preacher curls my spotter helped a little to squeeze a few extra out.

    I think I may look into some extend or some Purple Wraath when it comes out because after the brutal beating we put on the bi's by the time I got to shoulders I could hardly lift my arms. I've also considered increasing my carbs in my pre=workout shake also. Right now my pre-workout shake is 1/2cup of steal cut oats and 2 scoops of whey. Breaks down to 520 calories, 60grams of protein, 54grams of carbs. This is also my first meal of the day.

    The total workout took 50 minutes. When I looked back I couldn't believe we only did 4 exercises but the intensity of these exercises was extremely high, especially in our bicep workouts. Like I said I could hardly lift my arms we were pushing so hard.

    Tomorrow is an off day and I'll be resting.

    I was suppose to do back yesterday but I went to my buddy's bands concert. So I did my back workout today. Nothing out of the ordinary to post. I had good lower back pumps and I'm starting to notice that no matter what workout I'm doing with the exception of legs, I always have a nice bicep pump going.

    I did however have a guy come up to me while doing shrugs and ask me if I was doing a cycle because the veins in my shoulders and biceps were "insane" That definitely made me He also said he just finished up a 8 week cycle and he gained 22lbs during it.

    I have been having a strange day so far today. Woke up at 6pm which gave me 7.5 hours of sleep. Yesterday and today I've been taking my whey/oats shake right when I wake up (6pm) then taking the gb/wb at 7pm. Then I'm in the gym at 7:30pm. My endurance has been kind of low so I wanted to give some more time for my shake to digest compared to what I've been doing.

    So 7:30 pm we're in the gym for legs. We hit the bikes for a few minutes to warm up then make our way over to the squat rack. Everything is going well and I've got a nice pump going in my quads. After 5 sets we head to the leg press machine. We load her up and after my 2nd set I just felt like I got hit by a ton of bricks. I felt like complete crap for no reason at all. Honestly, it was the "oh crap I drank too many beers" feeling. I felt dizzy and like I was going to throw up. So I sit down for a couple minutes hoping it'll pass when I realize it's not going to. So I head to the bathroom and throw up a few times . I felt better after puking but just felt completely out of energy so we called it quits on the workout.

    As of right now I feel fine but I'm still feeling like I'm completely out of energy. My diet has been steady today so I'm really not sure why. My sleep was fine last night and I only woke up once for the bathroom.

    6:00pm 2scoops of whey/1/2 cup steel cut oats
    7:00pm 3wb/5gb
    7:30gym
    8:30pm 2scoops whey/8 teaspoons of dextrose/1/2 cup of oats
    10:30pm 3eggs/22oz 2% milk/2 pieces of whole wheat toast

    The plan is when I get off work to go straight to bed. I'm going to get 9-10 hours of sleep and just see if I'm not resting enough. Thursday is usually an off day but I'm going to head in and catch up on my leg workout.

    As for the WB PM nothing remarkable has changed. I'm still getting really deep sleep with really life like dreams. CL should sell this stuff as a sleep aid because with this PM dosage I've been staying asleep longer and the sleep has been much deeper. No negative side effects to post about besides me throwing up in the gym today, but I highly doubt the WB or GB had anything to do with it.

    Hey everyone. Sorry for no recent updates. Everything is still going on track. I did a final weigh in today and I was at 179 so I put on 5 lbs this month by eating 3200-3500 calories a day with a 40/40/20 breakdown. I've increased all my weights in every muscle group. Overall the test was a sucess.

    I will post more tomorrow for the final review and I will get some pics up very soon.

    First off I'd like to say thanks to CL for letting me test this product. I really appreciate the oppurtunity.

    My starting weight was 174lbs and I ended the month weighing in at 179lbs. I took in between 3200-3500 calories a day 2-3 cheat days during the month.

    What I've noticed the most in the PM test was the deep sleep I got and how fast the pumps came on. Once I fell asleep I was out for the count until my alarm went off and my dreams were much more vivid. I can actually recall several nights worth of dreams. This is werid because most of the time I won't remember them five minutes after waking up.

    Every other time I've taken NO products it would take almost 2 weeks for me to start feeling the full effects but with doubling the dosage within a week my muscle felt like they were going to exploid.

    I've made strenght increases in all my workouts but coming from the cut I'm definitetly not suprised about that. Although the pictures don't really do much justice the biggest thing I've noticed is my biceps/triceps look more defined and my arms/shoulders/chest all appear much more vascular. I actually had a guy come up to me in the gym while I was deadlifting who just finished a 8 week cycle and ask if I was cycling because the veins in my arms and shoulders were popping out everywhere.

    I think CL is definitely on to something here and I definitely believe that doubling up the dosage makes a difference in sleep quality, recovery, vascularity, and strenght but I think it'll be hard to convince at $54 for a months supply. I think you could have great results just taking a night dosage but then you're probably not going to get the extreme pumps during your workouts. In the sake of fairness to this log I have not read any of the other WB PM logs since I didn't want it inadvertinly affecting my opinion, but I plan on going back and seeing what others are reporting.
