My boss complained about my eating...
So I'm looking for ideas on something I can finish in about 5 minutes. About 400 calories give or take. I was thinking of just making a shake, but I don't have casein (sp?) powder...
I'd appreciate any help I can get Thanks

This can get annoying, especially if you're in an office setting. I've cut it down to only 2 meals when i'm at work, 11 and 2. Main key it to make sure that all food is packed into the least amount of containers. I cook chicken breasts and brown rice by the ****load and keep it in the fridge. Then I get to tupperware containers and pack the chicken and rice into 2 seperate containers. Then just heat it up.

You can find lots of 400 calorie protein bars but you will have to get them from the places like GNC. Google 400 calorie protein bars for a start...
Now let's get to the heart of the matter it is not your boss that is the problem it's that sombitch that whispered in his ear that you taking are to much time..Find him and kill him..By kill him I mean do anything that you can to undermine him, spread rumors, tell his wife he is unfaithful to her, do whatever it takes to make this mother never want to mess with you again..
Then explain to your boss your bodybuilding goals and aspirations, bring him into your camp, workout with him, read Sun tzu the art of war, and The Prince By machiavelli. Hope this helps

All I can say is, stop watching too many movies/animes.
It's such a small thing, don't over-react.

Almonds are great.
RTDs are great.
Steel cut oats wash down pretty well (just swallow them uncooked with water like pills).
None of this would require you leaving your desk.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys...
The problem is... I work at a deli area where I prepare (chop/dice/peel) veggies for the cooks, make sandwiches/salads, serve customers, and so on. I've been bringing my meals in containers, and eating when I get the chance. But, higher authorities don't want me eating at the counter. She said I'm allowed two 5 min breaks to eat... but its hard to scarf down a healthy meal in such little time!
What are RTD's?

I just wonder if you were eating their food if it would make a difference. I bet it would. Being that you are behind the counter and eating food other than theirs might have customers thnking if it isn't good enough for her then why am I eating it.
I may be fishing here though.
Don't yo uget breaks? Aren't you allowed to go outside on your breaks? IF yo ucan use a microwave and then go to your car then do that. I make two meals that are pretty quick to eat.
4 eggs scrambled only one yolk
2/3 cup of mixed veggies
1/2 cup kidney beans
calories=307
Carbs=32
Protein=26
Fat=6
The other is almost the same:
I used Laura's 4% fat lean ground beef I prepare around 2 lbs and put it in a bowl.
3 oz of the beef
2/3 cup mixed veggies
1/2 cup kidney beans
Calories=287
Carbs=31
Protein=27
Fat=4
Both of these meals are very tasty and they are very feeling. They fill up a small plate and I don't mean the little saucer.
If others are able to go outside and smoke a cigarette then you should be able to go out to your car and eat.

homemade protein bars:
3 c oats, 1/2 c NP,
1 c skim, 4 scoops whey
Makes 8 bars which comes to about 285 cals per bar. I don't have the macros w/ me right now but I think its close to 40 40 20. You could make each bar bigger and get them around 400 cals.
BTW, they are freaking awsome!

For my afternoon snack, I toss some cottage cheese, natty PB and diebetic jelly (10 cal / tbsp) into a small storage thingy. Quick, easy and tasty.

whey protein in milk with some fats, like nuts. The milk and fats will drastically slow down the digestion of the whey. Have a banana or piece of bread with it too for a more complete meal. I wouldn't really stress about casein powder and all that stuff really, the milk has casein. I used to do this all the time when i worked a full time internship.

Labor laws vary by state, but I can pretty much guarantee if you are working at least 5 hours, they are required to give you a half an hour meal break (unpaid) by law as defined by the U.S department of labor. Also, you are required to get at least a 10 minute break (paid) every 4 hours.
So take your time while you eat and if your employer has something to say tell them to take it up with the DOL Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division.
