Always wanted to post here...sorry these pictures are so small.
About a month or two after I started lifting:
I lifted weights half-assed for about 3-4 months a year for the next four years:
About 5 months after the last picture was taken. This was the first time I ever took lifting and dieting seriously and I was pretty pleased with the results. Sorry the image is so small, it was taken with a webcam:
I no longer lift weights, but it was fun and I thought I'd include my progress.

Very nice work man, inspiring.
Sorry to hear you no longer lift.
I am a 40 years old. I have a full time job as an attorney and work constantly. I also have two children. My son who is eight plays football and baseball, which takes up the majority of my free time. I also have a fourteen year old daughter who is a competitive cheerleader who travels all the time for competitions. I literally have a few precious minutes in the gym each day (usually around lunch, if Court allows). This is the progress I have made. Any input would greatly be appreciated.
You got bigger, but sorry to say it, but it doesn't look like you gained so much muscles. Almost no progress on chest from your 1. to 2. pic. How was your diet? The arms are solid, but think you should cut now so you don't have that much fat to struggle with

My diet was awful for the first 6 months but this spring i learned that i have to eat more. Yea i know i have crappy chest genes but my chest workout weights have raised a lot! Maybe the cut is not the best choice for now because i don't want to slow down my muscles growth?
My profile for more pics.
I am not "mass" yet. I consider myself quite small and until I don't pack some more mass, I still am not worthy of the word "mass". :P
More pain, more gain.

Ah, that would explain it...what you're describing is a Smith machine.
That's it, 300 on the Smith machine. The owner of the gym said she can't have free bars because of insurance reasons, but next tine i hit my buddies house in Syracuse I'm going to see what it is with a free bar. And i know, people who don't lift can't even bench their own body weight. I was a bit of a trouble maker in the army, so i was frequently doing push UPS, lol. I started to get cockier and started challenging my NCOs to push with me, after i already did a hundred. Needless to say, i always maxed my push UPS and sit UPS on every PT test. Can't smoke a rock brah

You won't be able to bench 300lbs on free weights. The only advantage to using a Smith machine to bench heavy is its safer especially if your working out alone.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.
Guns are like parachutes: if you don't have one when you need it, then chances are that you won't ever be in need of one again.

Ye but your muscles is all covered by fat. I would cut down now if I was you. If you really want to bulk more, please do. But consider to cut it down soon.
Okay the first is back in 2009, I was 18 at about 6 ft 165lbs... Skinny
The second is in winter of 2010, at 18, about 6 ft 1 in 180lbs (college/Newbie gains).
the last few are current (July of 2012). I'm now 21 and 197lbs about 7-8% bodyfat.
Hope you appreciate.
The first couple and last pic are current, the third is 2009, the fourth is 2010.
