Wow! So many excellent transformations.
If I could adress all members do you think it's possible to gain signifcant mass without a partner? I'm self motivated but can't find a training partner and I'm afraid throwing around weights light enough to handle on my own won't trigger growth. I'd also rather not have an embarassing accident trying to lift to heavy without a spotter.

isaacus I found that starting at the gym people will want to help you out I just asked guys bigger then me Also asked them questions on what I should be pushing and such..But yea its best to have a spotter otherwise you wont have that extra push to do more while training. I noticed that doing 10kg+bar=30kg weights was not doing much for me but then adding the extra 30kg+bar=60kg was doing me great even if your only doing sets of 6

Thanks for the help guys. I'm currently waighing 140lbs at 5,10 and look quite thin. My arms and quads I would say are my weakest areas! I have no excuses seeing as some of the posters were under 100lbs!

The first pic was from when I first got in country in October before I started lifting again. The other ones were taken last week. I think Ive made a pretty good amount of progress but I still have a loooooong way to go.

yea i was actually bulking prior to diagnosis, and took me about 3 months to go from 145-155, then my symptoms started and i went from 155 to 125 over the course of about 3 months. the insulin DID work amazingly...it's very anabolic and i have been putting weight back on like crazy, though to be fair, i am also eating a ton of food with the intention to bulk (about $100-120 every week on food), and i have been lifting as heavy as i can about 2-3x per week, but i went from 125 to 135 in like 10 days after diagnosis, and 2 weeks later i was 145 lol...in fact, literally every time i've weighed myself at the gym, i've been at least 1 pound heavier than the last time. currently sitting around 153, but haven't weighed myself for 3 days so could be 154-155...it is so much easier to put on weight when u have insulin in ur system...and yes, i felt 100 x better literally 3 days after i got out of the hospital and my insulin was restored to normal levels and my potassium as well...i noticed that a lot of the muscle mass i had before the muscle wasting began was coming right back just from EATING! before i even started lifting weights, i was getting it back...but i think that's because i lifted diligently in the past and my body was just restoring the nutrients to the muscles that had been deprived so long from not having insulin to put the nutrients into them, but i basically like "re-inflated" after about 2 weeks of solid eating. i can't wait to continue bulking...overall i'd like to hit 200 lbs and then cut down to 190 with low bf% but not sure of my body's limits yet, as i'm a natural ecto (or at least i was before being a type 1) and have always had a hard time weighing much more than 145-150 which seems to have been my "natural" weight without an adjusted diet and weightlifting regimen. check out my journal if u wanna see my progress, link in my sig...and also I PM'ed a longass PM about ur situation. keep in touch brah.

My transformation
Hi Guys,
I just found this topic and it was good to see the lots of improvements, well done. I'm sharing my story as well.
I was always sporty but skinny, the bodybuilding helped me to build a muscular size however I don't like to be really huge, and actually I realised I couldn't, as a natural bodybuilder in my age. So I just try preparing some natural competitions, which I tried last September first time in my life and it was so cool.
In the first two photos I was 64kg five years ago.
In the second two I was 81kg
And finally in the last two I was 76kg on my first competition in last September.
Keep pumping!

Very impressive!
To do that thing with images, just load them up someplace (like your photo gallery on your bodyspace space), then just do this
(you can find that when you right click on an image and hit copy link location and then paste that in between [img] [/img]. Make sure there's no spaces in the link between those two.
