College Diets / Diets on the go
What are your suggestions for the college student or an active person, trying to keep a bodybuilding diet?
List just meals or comlete diets.
Thanks

Between classes, I sometimes eat a South Beach bar (14-10-5) or a Pure Protein bar (29-30-9). Also you can mix whey protein and oatmeal or just stick with whey when you're cutting. I also like to drink Xtend sometimes throughout my classes instead of water.

I find it really easy having a good diet while at school. I do the food shopping so I get to pick out good bodybuilding foods. My protein sources come from chicken, tuna, eggs, and peanut butter. Lots of sandwiches like tuna sandwiches and PB sandwiches to get some carbs. Also oats for carbs. Throw in some veggies and fruits and your good to go. I have plenty of time to eat because as a college student you only have classes 15-18 hours a week. If you have trouble fitting meals in just throw a couple casein shakes in there.

It's not hard to find time to eat that is for sure, just like benz said most students are only spending 15-18 hours a week in class. My favorite snack, when I'm inbetween napping (its college it might as well be most students major haha) or gotta get to a class quickly, is a PB sandwich on WW and a scoop of whey in water. Get good carbs, fats, and protein in on the go. Tuna sandwiches, bananas, nuts, etc. are all great choices on the go. Just wanna make sure you're hittin P/C/F in the snack and you're golden.

Bumble Bee actually makes tuna in small 5 oz. cans prepared with Tomato & Basil..best part is they have a foil peel off lid. It is my new favorite meal on the go up at school now. Only downfall is the sodium, but I can make it work.

I usually try and pack two meals for my excursions to campus. Here are some of the meals I will throw in my backpack.
-Turkey sandwich w/ swiss cheese and a handful of almonds in the bag
-1 slice of bread w/ peanut butter
-Tuna sandwich
-protein bars
-scoops of whey
If your bulking there are usually decent places you can eat on campus. Some of my favorites include panda express or chipotle. Check out their nutritional information online so you can see whats best!

You can see my log for my diet. I'll take 2 scoops of whey and a bag of mixed nuts for, or a few sticks of string cheese, or a tuna packet with mixed nuts for a meal between classes.

Yea that is what I was looking for, I didn't mean that it was hard to eat, I have the time. I was just looking for some quick fixes outside of my staples to keep around in times of hurry. Appreciate the positive imput.
Thanks all,
- Andy Andersen

I know a girl who practically lives off of protein bars, vegetabes, and energy drinks. Other suggestions may include canned foods (tuna, chicken). You could also invest in some tupperware or plastic bags. If you have any bakeware, you can cook some meals to take with you. Fresh fruits and veggies can help keep you satisfied. NO POUTINE!

I carry a lunch box to class in college. People look at me weird but realize that I'm 100% healthier than they are.

Yea I used to have night classes from 3pm til 8pm, so I'd have to take dinner with me. I always got weird looks walking around with a cooler, but when I whipped my dinner out before my 5:30pm class and everyone else was starving, I just smiled and ate my chicken

a good thing, contrary to popular belief on this site, you could easily obtain optimal results eating 3-4 meals a day as apposed to 6-7.
Just some food for thought.

My 'meal on the go', as in like when I have 10 minutes or less to eat a meal, is:
2 scoops whey
Milk
Sandwich-
2 slices bread
2 tbsp Peanut butter
Banana
Pretty much a complete meal really. I always have a bag of almonds on me somewhere aswell lol. A gainer shake is the king of convenience in your kind of situation though.
