How can you consume 200 grams of protein?

Can someone give me an idea of how to consume 200grams of protein (no more than 1 whey shake).

I had bowl of kashi and skim milk this am - 15g protein
3oz of deli sliced chicken breast - approx 20g protein?
3oz beef stirfry (thai food) - 25g protein?
    4oz Tilapia - 20g protein

going to have whey shake post w/o - 22g protein
    chicken for dinner - 25 g protein

that's roughly 120-130 g protein give or take.

adding another shake would help. what else can i eat? that's a lot of food as it is!

    thanks

I guess i only get a cup (at most) in the am with my kashi cereal. maybe need some before bed. isn't it a lot of carbs also?

getting bison meat today (97% lean) so that'll help get me some more protein. but damn...its hard to get 200g in one day (without taking more than one shake...maybe i need two whey shakes).

throw 1/2 scoop of whey w/ 1 cup milk that's 31 grams of protein right there and ~ 140 calories. you have 4 cups of milk like that a day and you are already almost 3/4 the way there.

You seriously consider 3oz of chicken to be "dinner"? A decent chicken breast is around 7 oz, which has 60g of protein. If you eat 2 cans of tuna fish (in water), add another 60g protein. A shake with 3 scoops of whey gives you about another 60. Already with these three things you're up to 180. 1 tilapia fillet is 20g of protein, with only 100 cals. Eat three fillets and you have yet another 60, for a total of 240.

200g of protein a day is simple.

have a lean, complete protein source with every meal. if you eat at LEAST 5 meals a day, and have a complete protein source with each one, you should easily hit at least 150-180g. most complete protein sources, ie; chicken, beef, eggs, etc. all contain 20-40g per hearty serving (say 6oz chicken, beef, steak, etc.), plus, add in protein from your fats and carbs and you should be well over 200. every meal MUST have a complete protein source.

I like cottage cheese (though I limit it due to the salt).

    1 serving: Add 15grams

Eggs are nice (I eat no more than three due to cholesterol in them)

    3 eggs: Add 18 grams

Tuna filets aren't bad (I buy the precooked/flavored ones):

    Add (around) 40 grams

My protein shakes have 42 grams of protein (in other words, add 20 grams to yours

That is a total of an extra 115 grams right there, if you like those foods (and if they work with your overall diet plan).

WOW...thanks for opening up my eyes!

I may have been doing the math wrong (protein in chicken breast is more than 25g). Also, more whey isn't that a bad idea. Increase in my Tilapia intake works (as it's not filling). Gonna get some egg whites in my am breakfast. Lastly, gonna pull out the cans of Tuna from the closet and eat straight from the can.

    Thanks everyone!

Here is a quick look at my fitday journal, I haven't used whey at all today.
    http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...er=Thundercles

I'm about to go grill up a nice New York Strip Steak (9 oz.) and that'll give me like an additional 40-50 grams of protein.

It's definitely possible man, I wasn't even using whey until recently and I was able to get in a decent amount of protein. The shakes help, but they aren't necessary.

Lol, seriously though, if you eat the right stuff (looks like you are?) you can get in basically as much protein as you want..Just eat more of it.

I had bowl of kashi and skim milk this am - 15g protein
3oz of deli sliced chicken breast - approx 20g protein?
3oz beef stirfry (thai food) - 25g protein?
    4oz Tilapia - 20g protein

going to have whey shake post w/o - 22g protein
    chicken for dinner - 25 g protein

that's roughly 120-130 g protein give or take.

adding another shake would help. what else can i eat? that's a lot of food as it is!

    thanks
4oz of protein at each meal is about 25-30g of protein.. eat 6-7 meals a day and your set.. add your PWO shake

Eat oats in the mroning instead of cereal, and eat more meals

Why only one shake? Protein shakes aren't a bad source of protein. As long as the EAAs are covered, then there should be no worries about the source.

I prefer to eat my food. Supplements only serve me in crunch situations. Whey isn't bad, just not ideal for 1/2 your daily protein intake IMO

200 grams is nothing my friend.

I eat 1 bag (500 grams) of cottage cheese during the day, thats 20grams of protein per 100g, so it adds up to 100grams of protein just from cottage cheese, mix it with natural jam's and its delicious.
I eat 6 eggs every day, adds up to approx 36grams
Then 1-2 wheys which gets me 25-50 grams
And obviously some red meat or chicken aswell, always gets me above 200 grams.

    The secret is cottage cheese

You can probably consume moar protein by eating more proteins.
