have been lifting for about a 1 1/2 yrs and have made great gains. Started
working out with a friend but she quit after about 1 year because she
just did not like it that much. So now I work out alone, which is OK the guys at
the gym are great and help me when I need it and answer all my question
without making me feel like a dope. SO this week I decide I am going to
lift real heavy for just 3 or 4 reps and do 2 or 3 sets. I do 135 squats on
monday night and a few other things, last night I do 105 bench presses
and 85 on pushdown for tri's and I am THRILLED. I leave the gym and stop
by a friends house and try and tell her and she is like " that's nice if thats
what you want to do" and I am just busting wanting someone to say "that's
Great" .
I am praying another women will come to the gym at the same time as
me and we can be workout partners. I need to support and motivation

I can relate to how you feel, I lift heavy and majority of the time I lift with my husband. He is my main supporter and motivator. People that I interact with at work and school just have no understanding and usually say pretty stupid things. I have never been able to find a female workout partner, not to sound discouraging, I just think females that lift heavy are spread thin, unfortunately many women have the misconception that if they lift heavy they are going to look like Arnold the next day! But just know that You always have the support and motivation from the women here
that's fantastic -- KEEP IT UP!
