    reasons why cutting sucks!

    1. You can't eat you're favorite foods.
    2. Cardio is a bitch
    3. HIIT Cardio is more of a bitch
    4. Seeing results really takes time
    5. Always hungry
    6. Lack of energy
    7. Counting calories sucks
    8. Muscles don't grow while cutting

i actually think cutting is more enjoyable than bulking...
    1. Not eating is easier than forcing yourself to eat.
    2. Cutting is when you see the muscles, bulking diminishes any presence of abs!
    3. Still have to count calorie while bulking
    4. Bathroom trips

yeah i learned that clean bulking is the way to go the hard way. I bulked (not clean) for 4 months and saw good gains but also a gut, now I'm going for a six pack then will start clean bulking. Getting that six pack is a pain though cus I didnt realize how much fat I gained.

I also figure once I get a six pack I will clean bulk for about a year before I have to cut again, (will try to avoid it as long as possible).

Obviously body building is one of the most physically demanding sports around... but many people don't realize the mental dedication and strain your body undergoes. This becomes a huge factor when I cut. I step on that scale and see my weight going down, and I feel small... instantly. 5'11, 230... and feeling small. I'm no Mr. O, not even close... but I am far from a twig that stands around in the gym. But your head plays games with you. When I bulk, even at 12% or 13% bf I feel fat and bloated. I just don't listen to my head anymore. I use the "small" feeling to motivate me, like when I started oh so long ago.

Saying no to a triple cheeseburger is the easy part... believing"I'm not small" is the really hard part of dieting.

Haha, I would like to NOT consider myself a fat person. But yes, the small feeling is what gets you. Any bodybuilder will tell you it's the worst feeling in the world. Especially when getting ready for a show. I always get so paranoid thinking I am too small, even when I dial in around 225.

90% of the food you eat during cutting are tasteless... you end-up eating dry or wet hay (feels like).

the tastiest things such as sugar, salt and fat... forget about it...

Besides cardio, which is not a big deal, diet is the biggest reason most people can't loose weight... forget cutting, which needs more discipline.

bulking owns all! strength are through the roof, eating rocks, you digest faster...
alltho sometimes you have to eat at non-apropriate times which is weird, but still rocks.

Yeah cutting has its pro's like being able to see your'e abs and seeing the muscle that you worked hard to attain, and obviously it's worth doing because I'm doing it, but overall its a bitch. Also I too sometimes feel like I might be loosing too much muscle which I worked so hard to achieve last bulk cycle. But what keeps me going is knowing as soon as I'm done cutting bulking is next!! which means

    Never being hungry
    Getting bigger
    Protein shakes!
    Getting stronger
    etc.

Neither. I just eat a certain amount all the time, keep my calories high, and before competition then I start to diet down. Otherwise I think bulking and cutting is a big waste of time.

no, you dont have to gain fat. you gain a little, but it shouldnt be enough to make one think bulking sucks because of it.

#3 - i find HIIT cardio fun and use it while gulking becasue my body stores fat too easily.
#1 - you can eat alot of your favorite foods, just in much smaller proportions.
#6 caffeine 200mg twice a day will keep you awake and energetic for at least 12 hours.
#8 may or may not be true, my biceps are stronger now at 174 pounds than they were when i was 195 pounds, and my calves have gotten close to half an inch larger.

i personaly don't like cuting or bulking, i gain pure mass, yea it is slower than bulking but, you don't look like a fatass, and you don't waste your time cutting

ah...march is here. 3 months or so before summer, doesn't that suck. Can't wait to get down to 7 or 8% bodyfat again tho. Bulking and cutting both have their pro's and con's, but i think bulking might be a bit more fun. As for cutting, thats the hardest part of bodybuilding. Keeping the muscle mass while loosing the fat. It's not just losing weight, it's losing bad weight and keeping goodweight..the delicate balance.
