Whey Protein Powders For Women??!!
I am new to the Whey protein world, but I really wanted to add it to my training. I tried doing some research but I didn't find any Powders designed just for women? But I wondered does it matter if a women takes the same whey powders as a man would? Of course my caloire intake is alot less then a mans needs to be, so is there any powders out there with a low amount of calories?? Two products I have considered is ''Whey protien Light" that has 180 calories and claims to be the best for helping with weight loss and then also BeachBody's Whey protein which is recommended through The Jurbo Jam Videos! Can you ladies please help me out, I don't know what to do!!?? Thank You!

You can use the same protein as a man.
What you have to understand is that in the world of protein there are different types made specifically for different goals. There are gainers for those who are looking to bulk up and pack on the weight, concentrates, isolates, blends, etc...
It sounds like you are interested in something along the lines of an isolate. They are often lower in calories and carbs and are more easily digested than concentrates or blends (no bloating). Some good brands are Syntrax Nectar, Allmax Isoflex, Interactive Nutrition Isowhey Breezer, NXCare IsoXP, Ultimate Nutrition IsoSensation, etc...There are plenty out there. If you go to supplement websites they often post the nutritional information on every product. Just read the info to find one the suits your specific needs.

And the calories are up to you. I try to go with something from 100-200 calories. Also look at the serving size. For instance if a certain protein is 300 cals per serving, and one serving=2 scoops, then you can just use one scoop to use less calories. It depends on what fits in your overall daily caloric intake.

It really shouldn't make a difference whether you use a protein marketed for a man or a woman. The main difference is in the packaging. I did see a lot of advertising for supplements aimed toward women in the last Oxygen magazine. When you look at ingredients, though, there is no substancial difference. I looked at Dessert (I can't remember who puts it out, but all of the pakages are red...) and they look like they have delicious flavors aimed to satisfy a woman's sweet tooth.

I am a huge fan of Syntrax Nectar as well as any of the Optimum 100% whey. But as nicoledominique mentioned, it has nothing to do with being 'made for women' and everything to do with your goals and what you want to get out of your protein.

Protein powder is food. That's like having special chicken made for women.
You can control the amount of calories in your diet by controlling the portion size. If the serving size is 2 scoops, you may choose to only have 1.

I did find a protein for women it's Bionic Edge Meal Replacement for women. The only difference is it has more calcium and folic acid. Women tend to need more of these in there diet. It tastes really good to.

optimum whey is really good and beverly is my favorite. The Beverly chocolate is definitely a bit more pricey, but I feel it is the best when it comes to ingredients and absorbtion. If you mix your protein and let it sit for a bit (I keep it in the fridge overnight after I shake it up) reshake it when you are ready to drink, and it is super thick and yummy!!!

Dvsness said it all. It's silly to think that men and women have entirely different nutritional needs - the differences are subtle. Foods will work for you based less on your gender and more on your metabolism and phenotype. If you need fewer calories, choose less calorie dense options and eat smaller portions. Whey protein is one of the best convenience foods you can buy. Simple rule of thumb if you want to keep the calories to a minimum, is to choose one with low fat and carbs - a simple isolate with calorie-free sweeteners (or no sweeteners if you prefer) is a safe bet.
