    Vacation and time off

    Hey there women!

So I've got to go on a family vacation for about a week and I've got no access to a gym so...I feel pretty bad that I'm going to have to lay off cardio and strength training for a bit. Should I consume less calories because I wont be as active? I have a bike and I could bring tennis shoes to go running i suppose...just wondering what you guys do and how you avoid feeling guilty because I make myself feel pretty guilty.

It's a vacation! Go have fun and give both your mind and body a break! You're not going to screw everything up in a week's time. Relax!

You may actually find that the week off helps you out. I've taken a week off before, then came back and lifted heavier. Nothing says you can't stay active, but don't freak out about making it regimented exercise. Just have fun. Swimming if there's water nearby, running if you want to, maybe some outdoor games with the family. Enjoy the vacation!

I WORK HARD when I'm not on vacation. Doesn't bother me a bit to give my body a rest and enjoy things I don't normally get to (including food).

x3 for the sentiment of just enjoying your time off.
