    Question Russian Bear 5000, What about it ?

    I was gonna buy it at the Vitamin Shop, but the salesman asked me "when you where on this supplement did you notice that you where more angry?" He then went on to tell me that it will make me bald if I take it, and that the only reason that he would sell it to me is bc my mom was with me.

    He made it out to sound like it was some steroid or something, so i didn't get it. I read in a review that it gives users mad diharrea.

    Second of all, I can't believe how little attention Russian Bear gets. Yes it looks ridiculous, but it actually is one of the best price/calorie gainer out there, has a good profile aside from the odd extra stuff they throw in it, and is hands down one of the best tasting protein shakes I have ever had.

    Now, I'd recommend the best way you used it is to use 1-2 scoops at a time, giving you 1000-2000 calories instead of 5 scoops for 5000 calories (the whole serving) - there are 20 scoops per container, so 20 scoops @ 1000 calories/scoop @ 18.95/container = $0.001 per calorie, or 1055 calories per $1.00. At that price no other gainer out there can touch it.

    I thought it was obvious that I meant you divide everything up, including milk.. I wasn't suggesting you ate the powder. Just mix 1 scoop with 26oz of whole milk and you get roughly 1000cal, 2 scoops in 52oz of milk for 2000, etc.

    Hey I just started using this stuff and I use one scoop for about 800ml (25 oz) of whole milk. This is simply 1/5 of the suggested serving and it gives you a 1000 calorie shake. I drink one in the morning, one before and after my workout, and one before bed.

    Wow I thought this stuff was off the shelves. I use to take this back in college. Was literally going through a gallon of milk a day(thanks to the cafeteria and large plastic containers and a gym bag). Did work well with me during my regular season to keep my size up. I was a defensive End and with so many practices and games I needed to stay around 255 260. This helped but I honestly never would have thought I would hear the name Russian bear again hahaha. That's great

    I need to know how much sugar each scoop has. It's hella sweet and the label isn't a regular one. They use their own kind without mention of how many grams of sugar.

    Here's what the bodybuilding.com label says about it's other ingredients. actually this is the first thing it says...

    If you simply search "glucose" wikipedia says this...

    MEAL 4: one medium thin crust pizza with any toppings, three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, two wheat turkey sandwiches.
