I was gonna buy it at the Vitamin Shop, but the salesman asked me "when you where on this supplement did you notice that you where more angry?" He then went on to tell me that it will make me bald if I take it, and that the only reason that he would sell it to me is bc my mom was with me.
He made it out to sound like it was some steroid or something, so i didn't get it. I read in a review that it gives users mad diharrea.

You linked the old thread which was review hype - my final review is here:

Second of all, I can't believe how little attention Russian Bear gets. Yes it looks ridiculous, but it actually is one of the best price/calorie gainer out there, has a good profile aside from the odd extra stuff they throw in it, and is hands down one of the best tasting protein shakes I have ever had.
Now, I'd recommend the best way you used it is to use 1-2 scoops at a time, giving you 1000-2000 calories instead of 5 scoops for 5000 calories (the whole serving) - there are 20 scoops per container, so 20 scoops @ 1000 calories/scoop @ 18.95/container = $0.001 per calorie, or 1055 calories per $1.00. At that price no other gainer out there can touch it.Last edited by terminator6600; 10-05-2008 at 11:29 PM.

But the 5000cals per container is based on the container + 1 gallon of whole milk correct?
so there would be far less the 5000 cals per container - something in the realm of 2600 cals.
with milk 5000 cals without milk 2600 cals
with milk 292 grams protein without milk 184 grams protein
with milk 567 grams carbs without milk 391 grams carbs
with milk 128 grams fat without milk 0 grams fat
powder alone contains 46 grams of MCT.
so your calculations are skewed.

Wow I thought this stuff was off the shelves. I use to take this back in college. Was literally going through a gallon of milk a day(thanks to the cafeteria and large plastic containers and a gym bag). Did work well with me during my regular season to keep my size up. I was a defensive End and with so many practices and games I needed to stay around 255 260. This helped but I honestly never would have thought I would hear the name Russian bear again hahaha. That's great

Ahh no wonder it's so sweet.
Here's what the bodybuilding.com label says about it's other ingredients. actually this is the first thing it says...
Three Stage Carbohydrate Mix (Glucose Polymers) Containing Complex, Medium Chain, And Simple Carbohydrates
If you simply search "glucose" wikipedia says this...
Glucose (/ˈɡluːkoʊs/ or /-koʊz/; C6H12O6, also known as D-glucose, dextrose, or grape sugar) is a simple sugar (monosaccharide)...
glucose is a simple sugar.
How much is in each serving is still the question...
I'd prefer not to ingest a TON of simple carbs but hey.. I already bought it, opened it and liked the taste. I'm just gonna take it a little at a time then. I'm not tryna get fat on this ****.

Russian bear
yes it's still around and so is Monster Mass, Real gains was good as well but RUSSIAN BEAR, UP YOUR MASS, TRUE MASS possibly real gains. Are the best Russian bear will not make you bald. Idk who the **** told you that bull****, VITAMIN SHOP, GNC, NUTRISHOP are all garbage places to go to. google Brandon Florida southern muscle and you'll get a real shop to tell you what to use or go to discount supplements.com
***Russian bear will up your Testosterone which is a good thing, if your a teen(I'm 17and I compete) it's not a bad thing. It has all 10amino acids that help absorb nutrients and shuttle them to your body. Yes it may have a decent amount of simple sugars but if you use it right, (on an offseason which I'm doing and your diet is on point) you should be fine. I would go to discount supplements.com to buy 2of the tubs. Here's my offseason bulking plan. FOLLOW IT TO THE DOT. Meals are eaten every 2hrs.
supplements you will need. 130 count nitrix and 2 Russian Bear tubs. Nitrix-should be taken 7hours later. So i wake up @5, I'll take another 3tablets @11 then several hrs later.
TAKE 3 NITRIX TABLETS UPON WAKING UP, MEAL 1- two scoops of RUSSIAN BEAR 2tablespoons of peanut butter, 2cups of milk and low fat ice cream.
