Denver! Too Cute to intern? Advice Plz!-------------
I am new to BB.com and love it!
I need some fitness career steering for my internship with my ACE studies. Which gym, who to talk to?.I have been going it alone (losing 85 pounds, studying for my first of many anticipated certifications) until now. Instead of a Large Cooperate gym, I have pounded the Denver pavement talking to Denver's most advertised (by Google) fitness competitors/ trainers to be their intern. Putting myself out there as eager free labor, I have encountered these ladies selling me a program and turning down my ?I will pick up your dry cleaning and scoop you dog?s poop.? bit. I would love these fit ladies to run me like a Hebrew Slave! I am ready!
Losing over 85 pounds myself- keeping it completely off for 4 years-, I understand willpower. My stunning Before and After photographs will prove my self-discipline. I am a determined with 75% of my ACE studies behind me and I am a teachable young lady who would like a bit of direction as I am new to making fitness training a career.
So far, I believe my nitch in the whole industry looks like fat lose and complete body makeovers. I seem to know a little about that. Boot camps, yoga, trainer mills (huge coperate gyms that will remain nameless) do not seem to be my current interest. With experience with amateur modeling, the figure competition and appeals to me the most.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. What gyms? WHo to talk to? Oh, and I do live in downtown Denver.
My BF says that women just do not want the competition so why hire a cute intern... please let's prove him wrong. It's like my mom telling me I am the most super kid on the block, Seriously.
P.S. My profile is squeaky new so give me a bit to fill in all the blanks.

I can't imagine a person could be "too cute" to be a trainer or trainer/intern. I know my gym has been looking for qualified trainers. There are a LOT of gyms in this area of all sorts and specialties. I have no doubt you will find the perfect fit. Congratulations on losing 85lbs! That is truly amazing!

thx Goat:)
ThX Goat from the PM,
I HAVE sent on online resume to them (Better Bodies) but I think I need to be a little old fashion and just walk right in sporting a suit, strutting in heels!
This last week, I did the email resume bit, but I think showing up with a resume in hand, sporting a suit and heels might take me a little farther.
The little 15 year old desk girl will say "Online Applications Only" as her eyes stay glued to her Cosmopolitan Magazine but I will be the exception in my Super Woman Suit!!!
Will give you the Blow By Blow this next week
Cheers!

Gosh! I have researched The Anti-Gym. Every blog, every article. The trendiness?
As a youth pastor back in the day, I used FEAR. I used SHAME while it was not the hip thing to do to con people into god. But my teens were diehards and my youth group was massive full of militant kids. I embarrassed people and their choices--- just like Anti-gym.
Not the person I am anymore.
