Talking Calf training on a budget!

For those who are cheap like me, I figured out a cheap alternative to buying a seated calf raise machine with a homemade calf block, a stool and some creative use of a leg extenstion!
Check out the pics to see what I mean!
Works fine and can give a great workout for calves.

good for you it beats going out and spending your money on something that does the same thing. you might wanna support the middle of the block, so when the weights get heavy it wont snap.

It's a good idea provided you dont lift heavy. Getting the leg curl to the starting point is going to be difficult when you're loading any real weight on there. Not to mention returning the weight back once your set is done.

I just tried this out and it seems to work best if I do one leg calf raises.

That's true, that's the only awkward part of it. I was lifting 50kgs on it an it wasn't too much hassle getting it into position. For me, that little inconvienience beats shelling out 200 odd euro for a machine.
