At school I do like 135 for 10, we dont max on deadlift, so the coach just puts that as the limit, it's very easy. Today, I deadlifted heavy for the first time ever. I did 315 fairly easily, i could have done about 335 I'd say. Can someone explain perfect form including stance and grip and tell me how to increase my deadlift?
BTW is 315 good for 1st time @140?-Todd

if your stiff leg is really close like yours healthy then prehaps your not following good deadlift form?
and as far as the precise 8 reps and STIFF LEG....?.....I've seen a 15 year old deadlift 440 lbs. first time ever touching a weight
I've witnessed a begginer increase there total 350 lbs. the first month
I myself can show you men bench pressing 821 lbs. men deadlifting nearly 940 lbs. men squatting 1104 lbs.
Powerlifting the sport of imposibility to Bodybuilders everywhere
Whats my post workout drink? half a bottle of Jack Daniels No. 7 sounds about right

Yeah... 8 reps for stiff leg deadlift....
I wonder what my deadlift is now.... my full deadlift feels ALOT different then that stiff leg deadlift....so I don't know.... I'm guessing my stiff Leg is over 50lbs away from my full deadlift.
I'm gonna max sumo deadlift(I think my weaker deadlift) next Sunday.....so we'll see. I'm gonna shoot for 275....a 40lb PR. Wish me luck!

well stiff leg for heavy reps is really limited by grip. of course I want to train grip, so I don't use straps for anything. But I think my last workout I did like 275x8x4. That's pausing at mid-shin level, the bar never rests on the floor.
I don't really know...maybe I cheated on my stiff legs then?? They felt awkward......

well I do them with a straight back. I descend until I feel a tug in my hamstrings, then go back up. If I go any lower my lower back rounds.Kramer: Don't worry, it's a write-off for them.
Jerry: How is it a write-off?
Kramer: They just...write it off.
Jerry: "Write it off" what?
Kramer: Jerry....all these big companies - they write-off everything!
Jerry: You don't even know what a write-off is!
Kramer: Do you?
Jerry (high, fed-up voice): No! I don't!
Kramer (consoling): But they do...and they're the ones.........writing it off.
