    will eating 4 eggs a day shoot my cholestrol up?

    Hi, currently for my diet it is 40 / 40 / 20 for protien/ carbs / fats...

    its been working extremely well for me in losing body fat...although i have one question...

    a family friend of mine asked me what my died was and i told him that every day i at 4 whole eggs ...... he started at me and was like what the **** your going to kill yourself like that.

    so is it bad? or should i just do egg whites only.

    so do eggs even raise cholestrol? im sure they do but does it even matter if i exercize so much?

    i do like an hour of cardio a day + heavy lifting

    Nah but really pends on what your doing with your body...
    Im on a cut so i cut out the yolkes so that i can add more whole foods and give me energy..

    But once i start bulking il easily be eating more then 4 eggs a day..

    i personally dont like 4 eggs together. I usually have 4 eggss, but only one yolk. so yeah, 4 whites and a yolk.

    for some people it may be bad to eat 4 eggs.. but for an active young person who partakes in physical exercise and lifting 4 eggs is a needed treat.

    I believe cholesterol has more to do with genetics and daily activity and overall health so it's perfectly fine.

    a doctor? seriously man thier full of bs, when was the last time youve went to a doctor and they haven perscribed you something? i dont belive in taking perscription pills or medicine of anysort unless i absolutly need it then i only use it long enough to get better and i find natural supplements to finsh getting better

    not all...ive met a few doctors that know their sh*t, but the vast majority went to college just like the rest of us...partying, late night cramming and then forgetting the BS they learned, and pulling that 'C' they need to pass the class and moving on...im not saying all doctors are morons, im saying they're human too, and 'learn' information from the same textbooks as anyone can...for all intents and purposes, all doctors really do 'practice' medicine...why do you think they have to do 10,000 tests on you before they can prescribe something? They dont 'know' whats wrong with you...they just follow an idiot-proof 'tree' and end up at a solution and prescription...

    as far as eating eggs is concerned...its all already been said...yeah, for a 50 year old overweight man eating eggs isnt gonna help the situation a whole lot...but for an active, quasi-in shape exercising person who is obviously conscious about their health its not a problem at all. the 'cholesterol' scare was simply that...a scare...everything in moderation tho guys...you start chugging 2 dozen eggs a day then yeah ur probably gonna have some long term effects more so than a guy drinking 3 or 4...on a side note, cholesterol IS directly related to genetics as well...

    What's with the Dr. hate? (i'm not one fyi) They have 8 years of school, there's no way they're getting through with a "C", and their focus on life is the prevention and cure of disease in others. Yes, some say/do stupid things, but the majority know what is good for you.

    Look at it this way, if your total cholesterol is 175, eat all the eggs you want as long as you get your #'s checked periodically. If your total is more like 320, maybe the whites is a better choice.

    I dont hate doctors...im simply saying that just b/c a doctor says 'omg, eggs will make your cholesterol go up' doesnt mean its a fact...people think doctors are some sort of superhumans with massive intelligence...well they got that intelligence from a book and most of that books information is available online...so does that make us all doctors?

    I've personally never had a good experience with a doctor...ive never had them actually 'cure' me of anything or even begin to know whats wrong with me w/o performing tons of tests and read a results chart that any monkey could do...yeah they go to school for a long time, but do you honestly remember half the sh*t you 'learned' in school?

    Again, im not hating on doctors...just saying that they are not the Gods of Nutrition and just b/c they say something doesnt make it the undeniable, unquestionable truth...[/rant]

    Error on the side of caution...

    Why chance it when you can just take a couple yokes out and add extra whites?? The white has "NO" fat or cholesterol.

    Sure eggs got a bad rap for a while, however the yolk carries all the fat and cholesterol (as well as some really good nutrients too, which is why I leave a couple in). There's 215 mg of cholesterol in just one large egg (over 70% of the RDA). So why not just cut a couple yolks out to be safe??

    My typical breakfast is:
    - 5-6 eggs (only two w/ yolks)
    - A bowl of bran flakes (or something along those lines. Oatmeal if there's time to cook it. Kashii has the best cereal, but it tastes like dirt.)
    - And if I'm not running late (50-50), a few strips of some turkey bacon... mmmmmmmm.

    There's a hell of alot more to egg yolks than just its fat content. Highly anabolic food.

    I typically eat 3-6 a day, top notch food.

    safe from what ffs? Im as scared of egg yolks causing problems as I am of lettuce dude.

    regarding doctors, it doesnt matter if they HAVE learned everything theyre taught. Why should you assume that they they learned is actually true? They will be taught 100% mainstream, whatever that is at the time, which all too ofton is BS.

    Do eggs have cholesteral? NO, do they raise cholesteral? YES.

    ALthough eggs do not contain cholesteral they have a decent amount of saturated fat in them which in turn raises your cholesteral. This is what you should do: for every 5 egg whites mix one 1 whole egg. that will provide you with everything you need and keep your fat intake low.
