One of our sophmore football players deadlifted 495 the other day

...and this was after 5 sets of heavy squats.
Has anyone here seen someone of that age DL anything heavier? Not tryin' to brag for my team, just sayin' I'm def. impressed.

thats good. but i never even see peiople do deadlifts.

in 4 years at being at my gym. ive only seen myself and 2 other guys do deadlifts. the one guy was a 35 year old something powerlifter and could dead like 700 i think. the other guy was a boxer and he would do 315 for 5 reps.

i can do about 445 for 1.

so props to him

Anyway, I always do DL's after 5x5 heavy squats. Anybody think I should switch them up once in a while? Deadlifts before squats one day a week sound good?
