Cardio Plateau
Okay folks, I have lost 100lbs. Used to weigh 300lbs at 5'7", now my weight stays pretty regular between 200-202lbs. I am looking to get down to around 175lbs and my body fat is at 26 percent which is down from the 49 percent it used to be. At my heaviest I was totally sedentary and measured 42-43-53, now I am at 38-31-40 and I typically hit the elliptical machine for 30-45 minutes 5 days a week and lift 5-6 days a week rotating muscle groups (i.e. chest, back, arms, etc). I have maintained my weight loss now for almost 3 months, but it seems like I am stuck. I can't do all out running because of a knee injury from a car accident 4 years ago. I am have been reading about HIIT cardio which would cut back the amount of time on the elliptical, but am concerned about the impact on my already bad knee. I am not so concerned with losing muscle mass, because I have always been able to define and sculpt that pretty easily. Any suggestions with cardio options?
