I don't want to say exactly "fat" but undefined. And also, what would happen if you trained like a powerlifter and also did interval running with a limited fat diet?

Why do powerlifters look fat?

depends mostly on your diet but also on your routine, powerlifters usually only employ compound exercises, so they're not really working towards a lot of definition, just muscle mass and strength and power basically. if you did interval training with a limited fat diet, you sitll wouldn't look as defined, ud just gain muscle mass and strength a little slower people say the routine doesn't determine whether you're cutting or bulking, i tend 2 disagree. for example, the 5x5 routine is gunna give you muscle mass, not the cuts that you wanted, no matter what diet plan you pursue. (assuming you're off steroids :P)
