    dumbbell starting position?

Just wondering if this has any effect on the muscles?

incline dumbbell curls for example better to have them down by your sides (palms facing towards the body) and turning wrists as you elevate in the movement?

or front dumbbell raises for example

or it doesn't matter how you do it?

    cheers

Whichever way you do it, make sure you're getting a good contraction at the top.

Getting a good contraction at the top is all that really matters. Do them however you feel the burn most is what I learned.
