    eating 6 times a day doesn't put you in anabolic state

    as the title said, do any of you disagree or agree with this, please put your science in as well. I will be much appreciated. thanks

    Well, if your eating 6 times a day with no protein it will definitly not make your body anabolic. I believe having a positive nitrogen balance (eating protein ever few hours aka 6 meals a day) throughout the day is beneficial to muscle growth and for anti-catabolic states.


    Secondly if you do not work out and you are eating 6 meals a day it still won't make your body anabolic. If yur muscles have no reason to grow eating 6 times a day will not do anything to help growth.

    cheers for your reply. But isn't it true that after you eat about 2 hours anabolism is at its peak, because I read that somewhere. So it is anabolic though.

    And yeh ofcourse you need to work out to get results lol

    Anabolism : The phase of metabolism in which simple substances are synthesized into the complex materials of living tissue.

    Yes your body is anabloic, but it does not mean you're growing muscle.... fat is a living cell too . Most people hear refer to anabolic state as when muscle grows... so I keep the defenition to that, but if you want to be extremley literal then yes as long as your 6 meals are spaced 2-3 hrous apart then it will keep you anabolic.

    do u want to consider producing fat anabolic? ... it technically is... so if u eat 6x a day, thats 6 chances to pack on the pounds... enjoy
