Military Defenders of Freedom
Ok i'm currently serving a One year remote tour in South Korea I just served a 5 month tour in Iraq. I dont complain much and i like to work hard and i earn what i get. But I called a few supplement companies today because it is hard to purchase supplements in south korea even on base, I wasn't asking for a whole lot you know some trail packs, a t-shirt pretty much anything so i can try their products. I mean i dont have the luxury of walking into a GNC and it being packed with supplements of every sort, I get to go to the BX/PX and see the slim selection of Products which is mostly just protein powders and every now and again maybe some BSN products, I lose alot of respect for some of these companies who can't even send out some trail packs and a t-shirt to a military person who is doing a one year tour in korea (no family no car) i mean we are pretty much stopping North Korea from starting World War three.
On the flip side we called some softball companies to get softball equipment so we could play softball and they had no problem sending us bats, balls, gloves, and cleats. But we can't get a supplement company to send us ****, I mean you guys do want us fit to fight and be able to keep you safe so Why dont you stand behind your troops and help them out.
I do wanna give props to Universal because they sent me a months worth of products and a t-shirt that is why I always use Animal Pak.

First thank you for your service.
I know that we support the military quite a bit and Gdiesel has sent out quite a few packages (as I see you have received one).
We are also supporting Animal Barbell Club events for the military, we have one going in the middle east:
http://forum.animalpak.com/showthread.php?t=14149
We are also putting together an event in Korea:

Let us know if we can do anything else.

we offer military discounts on the BSL site, and we always get HOSED on the shipping costs. What the post office charges us 50 bucks for we only charge about 9 on our site. You would think the PO could do their part for the soldiers to their APO boxes, I mean they are only part of our government and all. Mail should be free or near free to APO's IMO

I appreciate your willingness to serve this country and wish you a safe return, however, I disagree with your assumption that just because a company does not send out supps is deserving of less respect.

Yeah we have APO address out here. Also just looking to try new products. I do order online sometimes but sometimes shipping can take time and also i don't want to order somethimg that i haven't tried why am i going to waste 30 or 40 dollars for something i don't know works. LAos when you ship to soldiers you can ask the post office for a flat rate box also.

well the point is when we supply the packaging (they dont have flat rate boxes big enough anyway) we are saving the PO money. Regardless they should not charge high amounts to anyone shipping to soldiers serving overseas, it's a bad policy

Shipping to Soliders
They have a flat rate box for shipping to soliders. Also i was saying why am I going to spend my hard earned money to buy a product that i don't know is going to work. I'm not going to waste my money the government already under pays us. So that is why i look for trail packs before I buy a whole month or two worth of products It is like buying a car you just dont go to the dealship and buy a car without test driving it.

I told you the flat rate boxes are nowhere near big enough for what we're sending.
I don't know where the sampling everything got started but in the old days otherwise known as the 90's we had to purchase all our supps, sight and trial unseen. And yeah that's when 2 pounders of protein sold for 60 bucks

OH...you are asking for samples?
i guess trail packs = trial packs?
i thought you were just asking for companies to send you free ****...this is not AS bad as i thought. but not every company offers samples...I don't think its any reason to lose respect for them
also, a car is a little bit more expensive than supplements...so no, its nothing like buying a car, actually

Stop crying, you are becoming an embarrassment to all soldiers serving over seas.
No one needs to send you anything no one owes you anything.
Yes you are serving overseas, yes you have already been to iraq.
Well ask family or friends to send some care packages, I know in korea you can receive them. You could be in the FOB's in Iraq or Afghanistan, where you would not be able to receive any mail unless you returned pack to camp.
One easier way to get samples would be, email a friend, family or co-worker in the US, what samples you want or...when you contact a company about samples instead of getting them to send them to Korea, give them a friends address in the US, then get your friend in the US to ship them to you.
Your friend will understand how to ship to APO and everything, some companies do not know that they can ship stuff overseas easily(at times), plus if it is your friend shipping the stuff he can add other things you would like, as well he will know the address better and it will be a much more simple process.
