Red face Any Thoughts: ECU Tendinopathy

Here's the story, any help is welcome:

- Fell down on ice, put wrist out to break fall
- pulled/ sprained tendon (Extensor Carpi Ulnaris, tendon on pinkie side of thumb near wrist), 5 weeks ago
- Have only trained legs since the incident
- Wrist (tendon) still burns like a b*t*h

Why is this still bothering me. Do tendons just take that long to heal????

Has anyone else had a wrist tendon injury and what did you guys experience???

THANKS FOR ANY HELP. SERIOUSLY DEPRESSING NOT LIFTING UPPER BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Did you go to a doctor or anything? A professional can tell you whether it's a strain or something worse. But depending on the injury, anything can take a long time to heal, especially wrists. What do you do in your day to day activity that might involve your wrist?

Wrists and ankles take along time to heal when it comes to tendons. About a month ago I pulled a tendon in my ankle when i landed weird when jumpiong in basketball. I went to the doctor and he said for tendon injuries soak injured badypart in a hot bucket of epsom salt. Do this twice a day while taking an anti-inflammatory such as motrin or aleve and that will put you on the road to your fastest recovery. My ankle tendon is still bothering me and it's been over a month.

Nice to see a fellow Iowan. The only activities in which I use my wrist is like writing essays or doing homework. Maybe I should see a doctor.
