I have been eating loads of eggs as i hear that the protein in them is good for lifting, so far i think i am having about 5/6 a day, either boiled or in an omelette or whatever, as i am on a diet and lifting aswell, i figure if i eat mainly eggs then that should help, dinner i always eat chicken breast fillets about 5 times a week.
A couple of people have said to me that eating that many eggs is bad for me in general, and that i can also get 'eggbound'?? whatever that is!
So is it true that they are bad for me?
Thanks guys.

Well currently my diet consists of, mainly boiled eggs for breakfast, banana for lunch, and 2 chicken breast fillets with small portion of veg (no potatoes) for dinner, and if i snack, then i just have more boiled eggs lol.
Green tea to replace normal tea, therefore cutting out all sugar and milk.
Thanks for the replies.

Is this really ur diet? It sounds very low in calories for such a big man. I'm way smaller than you and would probably eat 3 times this amount.
I'm guessing u should eat probably 3500 cals (and 2500+ if cutting), but ur eating far less
- 6 boiled eggs is about 450 cals;
- banana = 100 cals (u need a bigger lunch with protein)
- chicken = 130 cals per 100 grams approx
- non-starch veggies are normally 25-35 cals per 100 grams
And yeah 6 eggs is fine, I do 4 per day, and ur at least 50% heavier than me. My serum cholesterol is fine. Too many eggs can lead to heinous farts though, so be warned

Well i wanted to keep to the bare minimum of amounts, it is painful, but i felt this way the results will show quicker, i lost 20lbs in 2 weeks doing this, and since then the weightloss has slowed down somewhat.
I have never known much about diets, and am overweight, so i figured just eat small and lose weight.
If this is bad and unhealthy then please give me info, but for now it is working

when i upped my egg intake (at least 6 a day usually) after a few months i was wondering the same thing you were, so i had a blood test to check my cholesterol, and it was pretty much unchanged from the last time i had it checked (still very low). my doctor told me that in general the only people that need to watch their cholesterol intake are those who are genetically predisposed to high cholesterol to begin with. my advice would be to get your cholesterol levels checked and see what your doctor says, but for most people its not a problem.
