Today I sort of slipped up and couldn't stop myself from eating a whole tub of B & J Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream which I finished off 5 minutes ago. Though it was my cheat day, I am a bit worried. Of course I can't turn back time, but I would hate to eat something nutritious right now in case the calories from the B & J haven't passed through or been "dealt" with by my body, and thus any nutritious food I would eat now wouldn't be digested and used due to the enorumous amount of calories (1000kcal) from the Ice Cream tub.
My question is how long does it take for the B & J Fudge Ice Cream to pass through my body, and when am I good to eat a normal bbing meal from now?

How long does a 550ml (440g) tub of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream take to digest?

just go on eating what you normally eat you will be fine. i have basically eaten like crap all weekend and YES, i will have some bloat and added water weight but it is nothing lots of water and a regular workout routine can't solve within a few days, maybe a week.

thanks for the reply sportyhp! - yeah I know what you mean about the water weight, but I am not too worried about that. I am talking more short term, because I know the body can only deal with a certain number of calories at one time, so I want to know when it would be okay to eat a nutritious meal. I mean, I could eat a good meal now, but would the body use it now? That is what I am asking.

my advice would be eat next when you feel hungry, some good lean protein, veggies, you get the idea. if you just ate the pint, and you are supposed to have a meal in let's say another hour for some reason (like that's your regular routine), i would say you dont need to stuff something down your throat then. maybe wait two or three hours if your stomach is still kinda full, dont force anything especially on a cheat day it's better not to make yourself feel sick.

Recent scientific advancements concluded that in a double placebo test, ben and jerries ice cream is digested 1.43442 slower than Breyers original, which digests at 2.43 hours per 250ml. Now according to my mathimatical calculation that concludes that B/J icecream digests at 3.4856406 hours per 250ml. Simple objective science here people. Now anyone in the future with your question can refer to this post. But god, if there IS anyone else with this questoin, I will question the awareness of the human race.
