Hi ladies! I have a quick question. I am trying to do away with the number on the scale mentality and do more with measuring. My weight has remained the same for 2 years but I've converted fat into muscle. My clothes are falling off again and I can mainly tell lately with the way my watch fits!
My question is what is the normal waist measurement for a woman? I am 29..almost 30. I have gone from skinny fat to more fit so my stomach doesn't seem as "flat" which is probably a good thing since it now has muscle.
Never really paid much attention to waist size in terms of numbers. I just think people always look thinner than I am so I'm wondering what is considered "normal"
Thanks

Make sure you are measuring your waist at the narrowest part of your torso too.
Mine's 27", but was over 28" before I started losing fat.31-26-36.

At 5'3", my waist is now 25.5 inches. But, the day I began to lose weight, my waist measured 42 inches. As for the 'norm', anything between 24-30 seems to fit the bill for most women..at least from what I see around message boards.
