dislocated shoulder
last night when i was snowboarding, went off a jump and landed on my shoulder which dislocated it...it relocated it self but the muscle fibers or something are damaged, i still gotta see my family doctor and physiotherapist...but anyone ever dislocated their shoulder? am i not gonna be able to lift as heavy weights in the future??....since its gotten weaker and could have a higher chance of popping out again

If there is no major damage to the ligaments at the front of the shoulder, or a tear of the cartilage, then with good rehab, the shoulder will be as good as new.
Physio is good, and an MRI to see if there is any other damage also good.
Be patient, but with time and no other injury, the shoudler can come back as good as new.
I was unlucky and had 3 x dislocations and eventually had surgery. However, the shoulder has been good since then, and that was over 20 years ago.

Remember, serious soft tissue damage takes 6 weeks or so to heal well.
It is not a small injury,
May not be 4 months, but probably more than 1 month.

It all depends on what damage has been done. There is now a much higher chance of you dislocating it it again.I have dislocated my left shoulder 10+ times, and I am obviously getting surgery on it.
They will start you on physio, and see how you respond.

Wow, they usually go for surgery after the 3rd time!

Ive only been to a doctor for 2 of the dislocations (1st time, and last time it had to be put back in by doctor). The rest of the times its only been out for maybe 10 seconds max, and I rotate it a bit and it slides back into place.

Once the joint is that sloppy, surgery is probably a good idea.
