One reply - let it die
This is a rant, so be forwarned. There have been a several instances in the last week where trolls have posted stupid questions and several posts have been authored on steroids and/or prohormones.
The latter subject have a home on these boards, and that location has been specifically identified, and it's not in the O35 board. I understand that it's human nature to get your two cents in, but once someone has pointed out where the post should be, just let it die. If you really want to debate the subject, then go where it's debated.
On the former subject - and here I'm guilty as the rest, we need to just let certain posters questions go unanswered. As much as I've enjoyed the humorous exchanges on the shower-head post, all we've done is encouraged the original author to fill up the board with more inane questions. And he's living up to those today. The sooner we stop giving him the attention he craves, the sooner he'll stop posting.

So is anyone actualy prepared to go over to the steroid forum and make an "I think steroids are evil" post? I'm sure the result would make the misc forum look quite tame by comparison. In fact wouldn't doing so almost consitute trolling? Point is you are not going to get anything but the pro hormaone side over there. I think thats why people put there 2c worth in here when the queston pops up, because they are afraid of getting beaten up if they put their 2c worth in the steroid forum.
I agree though, the rules do say no steroid discussion here, so we should stick to them.

Ah, the great mysteries of life... do I hear the sound of old cheeses muttering about the misc?
Yes, naturally, but when the misc comes to our rightful home we're all over **it.
Hey look everyone... a pile of crap! let's go and examine it!

To the OP. I view this and any forum like I would a newspaper. I do not read every article, I read only what peaks my interest, and if there happens to be a "comic section" I am sure to chime in. Sometimes people take life too seriously.

Wow, ctg that was not a response I was expecting. I'm curious as to your opinion on why you think my post was a smartass post. It certainly was not written with that intent, but rather with the intent to help keep certain topics to their respective locations.
I don't believe I've made a lot of "smartass posts". I'm sorry if you feel otherwise. As Startin'-Over said, much of this is like a newspaper - we can choose to read or ignore. However, there's also a vast difference between the National Enquirer and the New York Times.
All the best,
Dave

I seem to remember Fitty repping and applauding ScubaDave's efforts to keep our little piece of bb.com troll free not too long ago.
FTR, I have also found Dave's posts to supportive, informative and to the point. A good and solid memeber here IMHO.

Hey ctg,
If it was a joke, my apologies, I'll go find my sense of humor somewhere (Someday was right), and change my estrogen blocker....

BTW it wasn't fitty... it was ctgblue (Maybe fitty was sleeping off the celebrations from the game!!!!)
I agree 100% with your original post. Read the stickies... OV35- more mature.... we dont need comments like "suck my dick"
Myself, I'm keen for younger members to ask questions, even if they are a little dumb to us older people, but only to a limit.

in internet parlance, if you are teasing someone, you usually follow the tease with a laugh of some sort, whether LOL, or HAHAHAHA, or whatever.....
sometimes, also, when available, an apropiate smilie will also do the trick....
seeing none of this, one cannot automatically assume that the replier is teasing.....
also: more internet parlance "etiquette": don't tease someone you don't "know" on a forum.......
with all of that in mind, it would be nice for CTGBlue to explain himself further.

CTG clarified for me directly - it was a joke. And, hat-tip to ctg, it was a good one, because he managed to get me all riled up.
