Getting Back at it.
I was doing great on my weight loss, until i had a back injury in Aug. I had gone from 450 to 369 in 8 months. Now im back up to 428 lbs. i am on the right track now being a new year and all. I have started eating better and more heathy. In november i was diagnosed with Diabetes.... yuck. My Dr. put me on a drug called Byetta it really decreases my appetite. I eat way less, and feel better, and more energetic.
I will update my progress, workout, and meal plans frequently.
Pictures will be up soon.

Good luck..the important thing is to keep at it. I'm sure small meals throughout the day will help you to deal with the diabetes.

Also dont get frustrated. You already know you can lose the weight by the drop you already had. Just get back on it and let nothing stop ya. Best of luck!

Scales are not everyones best friend. What the scale doesnt say is muscle mass and fat mass. So my advice Take pics each month and compair them to the before one and compair them to the month previous. That should give you a better indication of how your doing than the scale will.
Good luck stick with it. There will be easy days and hard days, but NEVER give up. Set small goals that are part of one big goal.

Good luck with your goals and remember that consistancy is the key. Personally I don't like weighing myself too often as it can get fustrating. I say weigh yourself every 2-4 weeks but also keep a tape measure. If you are weight training you might not lose 'weight' but you will definately lose fat, which is the most important thing.

Good luck reaching your goals although I don't think you're eating nearly enough. Only ~1300-1400 calories for a guy your size? I know everyone is different, but lots of your guys size still lose lots of weight eating 2500-3000 calories a day. Plus eating more will also give you more energy for working out and spare more of your muscle when you're losing weight.

Keep it up Dave.
Look at it in a positive way that you've come down from 450 to 428 and more importantly you have the mindset to keep going.

1300-1400 calories is on the low side. If he cuts calories any more it could shut down his metabolism. That would suck! We need a minimum number of calories in order for the body to work and to lose weight. 1300 calories is right on the borderline. I'd up it to 1500-1700 or so. I don't think it would slow down weight loss, and he'd have a better chance of getting ALL his nutrition his body needs.
