    Carb differences between cooked and uncooked rice\pasta

    Hello everyone...got a quick question...I was assuming the carbs would be 65-75 per 100 gram for both rice or pasta. Then I noticed that at the back of the packages, in the nutrition chart it says 18-25g carbs for "cooked" stuff. Is it true? Can the carb value decrease by cooking?

    Um... no?

    When you cook it, it's going to absorb water and weight more.

    So 100 grams raw with XX grams of carbs may end up to be 150 grams cooked but still have XX grams of carbs.

    The numbers on the box are most likely raw/uncooked weight unless otherwise specified.
