I was talking to Jason"Action"Jackson(800 bp in the 242 class)and he said he can do a barbell bent over row with more than 500. I can only do 5 reps with 225. Definitely, I'm motivated to get a stronger back!

I forgot to mention that their was a bodyweight rep contest after each session. So, I bench press 219 x 30.
I plan to work on my explosive strength for the next two weeks and try for a pr in the reverse band press. The goal is to do 700 the 3rd week of Sept, unless something more important comes up.

For me, pr's are an indication that I'm getting stronger and that I'm pushing myself harder in the gym.
The reverse band bench press made a difference because the weight felt so light!!! Believe it or not, I really couldn't tell the difference between holding 562 & 611. Both weights felt light at hand off and lowering the weights too. So, I'm going to keep doing reverse band bench press @ least once a month.
I compete primarily in bench press competitions and secondary in curl competitions. I competed in a strongman contest 6 years ago.

Actually, the weight felt light because of training with heavy reverse band bench press.

Definitely, competing and internet boards are different! At meets, the audience and lifters are cheering & uplifting everybody. I really enjoy the supporting atmosphere. This is one of the reasons I keep competing and enjoy every minute of it.
