THE ab workout
I can't believe I have been wasting all of my time and money on a gym membership when all I had to do was get "Hip Hop Abs"....time to terminate that membership and buy these dvd's.
I saw the infomercial on this last night and thought it was pretty funny. I can only imagine the number of people spending their money on this one...

That doesn't work! You have to buy the cheap plastic crap unweighted ab cruncher to get great abs!

I thought we established the shower head will work best, if aimed at the wall and bouncing off like Someday suggested?

I just thought of how I can solve all my financial issues. I'll market a new piece of ab equiptment. You will be able to put your legs up on the thing and do crunches until you feel "the burn". Really slick - only I have to figure out how to make it not look like a chair.

wasnt there one once that was a plastic wheel with handle through it and you extend it out and then pull it back in (head to waist) in a kneeling position?
The sad part is this crap sells.

My mom bought one of those about 40 years ago! I was even stupid enough to try it (what did I know, I was about 12 or so) when I first started to want muscles.
What a great, and embarassing, blast from the past!!

That ab roller is hard to do if you aint got no abs, might look stupid but not easy espically if you extended all the way out.

When I went to pick my daughter up from gymnastics they were finishing up their end of practice, 30 minute strength training. No weights or equipment at the gym so they have to be creative. The girls were on their hands and knees with each hand and knee resting inside a frisbee. They had to slide their arms out until their bodies were almost flat, no touching bellies to the carpet, then slide their knees up to their hands. Then slide arms, etc. Kind of an inch worm movement across the carpet. Looked like it took some abs to control the motion. Interesting alternative to all the various crunches.

Wow that sounds like it would roast your abs, especially on a carpet. I wonder who came up with that...and how?

We are talking about ab training, right? Not the other shower head use?

Before they started selling the ab roller, we would put 25's on a bar and use that. Done properly (out to full length) it is an incredible ab workout and hellagood stretch as well.

My guess is the coach saw it done, or something like it, somewhere else and adopted it.
I may buy some frisbees
