    Thumbs up Adam's 26 Week Challenge ... 353.4lbs to ???

After much contemplation I decided that I would post another log here. I was reluctant at first... because the truth is, I am embarassed. Some of you might remember me from a while back, well, I've gained quite a bit of weight since I was last here. (270lbs to 353lbs in 6 months). But that is in the past and I am trying to look only into the future. I have to thank some other people who motivated me to post here as well including cawiau

Basically, I am going to be doing a 26 week diet running from February 1st to August 1st, 2008. My diet is going to be a 2500 calorie keto diet and I plan to burn off an additional 1500 calories a day through 2 hours of exercise and weights. The elliptical will become my new best friend. I hope posting these bad pictures will motivate me and any advice anyone has, feel free to give it to me.

I've compiled several statistics including all my measurements and photos of myself. These prove how poor of shape I am in. My starting weight is 353.4lbs at 35.6% body fat and 43.1% water weight. The lean body mass combined with my height of 6'3 1/2" hides some of that weight but the side pictures show how massive my belly is. I have the worst kind of fat of all, abdominal fat.

I'm going to keep this thread pretty simple because every minute I spend on here I could be working out! ... Every Friday morning I will post results here along with the same set of photos showing my scale, poses and my updated measurements. I don't expect to see too many changes week by week in the measurements, but combined inches lost will definitely be motivating. I'll also post other crap as I go along... my diet is going to be really simple... 8 scoops of whey a day, 3 low carb high protein moderate fat wraps (chicken breast, veggies, cheese) each worth about 500 calories and 8 salmon oil pills. I'll also be taking an ECA stack twice a day.

My goals? To stick to it and lost some major weight! I want to get back to the 279lbs I was at before and regain back my dignity and self esteem and then go from there. My goal weight is 220lbs eventually, which I figure will take me longer than 26 weeks. It took me many years to get to where I am now and I can't expect to fix it right away, but this is a good start!

Thanks for listening, off to the elliptical.

And yes, I know my chest and back are hairy

Thumbs up Today Is A Good Day

    DAY 8

So today was my very first weigh-in day. I really had no idea what to expect... I've never gone this long without weighing myself before, or put so much effort into a diet. But before I give the results let me say, I'll be posting here every day now. The reason I didn't post in this thread for the first 7 days is because I didn't want to be one of those people who made a thread with tons of empty promises... I wanted to get 1 week done first, get my results and gain a bit of confidence, because truthfully I didn't know I would do as well as I have and I didn't want to be another failure of a log. Now I feel like I've proven myself a little bit, at least enough to post in here, but I've still got a long ways to go!

So, now, the big news.... I weighed in at 336.0lbs and 36.0% body fat meaning I lost a whooping 17.4lbs in 7 days. However, as can be seen, my body fat actually went UP 0.4%. This is because I only lost 4.0lbs of actual fat, and the remaining 13.4lbs came from water weight/glycogen (LBM). That was fully expected by me though, in my opinion 4lbs of actual fat is amazing in one week, that means I burnt off 14000 excess fat calories this week! AWESOME.

So, now that I've said that, it's time to move on, cause I've got 25 weeks left to go! So first things first, I've started up a log at FITDAY which can be seen at http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...ner=skuZZitude for anyone who is interested (I won't blame you if you don't look, personally I think it's boring as **** to read what other people eat in a day...). As far as today goes, I did 1 hour on the elliptical burning 780 calories at 158bpm average heart rate. It felt great. I'm drinking about 5-6 liters of water a day and I am keeping my calories between 2500 and 3000.
Can I go from 354lbs to 299lbs in 10 weeks? I am going to try or die trying!

    May 28 = 353.8 LBS / 35.5% BF

    DAY 9

Today was a good day. On pace to hit 2500 cals, did 50 minutes of moderate cardio on the elliptical today at 75-80% MHR (154bpm). I also did 20 minutes in the gym of compound weights...... shoulder press, bench press and lat pulldown. Felt like crap this morning though, because I was up until 2:30am last night at work so I slept until 1pm today. Damn!

I am going to post pictures and measurements every 2 weeks... so on Friday, Day #15, I'll post new photos of myself and measurements.
