Do barbells use the same spin-lock weights as dumbbells?

I was jus wonderin, cos uptil now i've only used dumbbells (working very well) but i think i should intoduce some more variaty into my routines.

so can i still use the same spin-lock weights that i use for my dumbbells on barbells??

    thankyou!

Sure, if you use standard 1-inch (non-Olympic) bars; they even have 5, 6, and 7-foot 1-inch spin-lock bars.

One thing to consider is that, if bought locally to avoid the huge shipping charges, a 300lb Olympic set (including a 2-inch Olympic bar and collars) can be had for as little as $120 or $130.
