    nah. he is real good to. back in the day he use to compete a lot. but the dojo he was teaching me at was closed. so I just never got back into it. I never had the cash. he always trained for free because he is a black belt. black belts always get to do it for free at clubs.

    Is Judo even used much in MMA today? I rarely ever see a throw. But it seems like a great move when fighters spend time against the cage in a clinch.

    There is some judo in MMA but not much. Karo Parisyan's judo is pretty damn good and Fedor's throws are nasty too but he practices Sambo, not judo.

    More like Sambo is Judo since Judo came first. But it's true; many of Sambo's throws are borrowed from Judo whose throws are borrowed from the samurai jujutsu.
