I am thinking of moving and Arizona was my top choice, however someone on these boards has told me that it is "dangerous" there, true or false?
I want to move to a state with strong gun and property laws.

It is legal to carry concealed weapons here. But it isn't "dangerous" in general. It really depends on where you go, every big city has dangerous sections. To me, Vegas is 10 times more dangerous than Phoenix.
Everything is air conditioned. The winters are beautiful.
Again, not bad, depending on where.Time To Re-Schedule

I live there too. Moved to AZ in May, Ill never move again AZ is absolutely beautiful.
Summers are a little warm, it hit 118 last summer.
So far the winter avg has been 65 degrees
It RARELY rains
Skiing/Snowboarding/camping etc is an hour away in Flagstaff. Climate and weather is very similar to the midwest there.
The grand canyon is a 4.5hr drive
Vegas is a 4hr drive.
LA is a 8hr drive?
Sandiego is a 5hr drive.
Mexico is a couple hrs away.
It's probably the only state you can wake up each morning and already know what the weather will be like, Sunny and warm.
Some of the most beautiful women in the country live here.
Lots of fake boobs.
High $$ area, good amount of jobs. (I make 3x more here doing the same job i did in michigan, less hrs)
Decent bar scene, if you're into that.
Thriving economy, though the housing market is a little low right now.Last edited by mrawdtsi; 01-30-2008 at 09:30 AM.

AZ Lesson
Now would be the best time to check it out. This month we've had the Barrett-Jackson Car shows, FBR open (i'll be at the 16th hole, Friday in a skybox which means free beer and food at the craziest hole in golf), more like a huge party on a golf course than a tourney, thousands of girls wearing clothes they would normally wear out clubs. Finally we got the superbowl, but that's in Glendale which looks as ****ty as it sounds. I'm a 2nd generation native and I've travelled to a lot of places and AZ is a pretty great place to live, yeah it's hot in the summer but everyone has pools, so grab a chair, margarita, a few ladies, and bake your ass next to the pool.
Only 2 places I would move to other than here, London or San Diego.
Also Scottsdale women are far hotter than any other city out there (dirtyscottsdale.com), we have terrific feeder schools (U of A, ASU) that keep turning out prospects year after year.Dir. of Mkt Arizona Nutritional Sciences
