I only used about 5 scoops out of my PSU and its all rock hard. My Pump-bol was about halfway finished and its hardened. My $50 Ultima tub still has about 2/5th's left and its all rock hard.
I tried to crush it up but it is VERY difficult.
Anyone have these problems? I guess I need to use the pre-workout ASAP after opening rather than alternating between them. I love variety.

Note: do not expose them to any heat.... i leave it in my car awhile I am at work and its unusable now. I figured the powder would have been fine.

chances are wherever you are storing them has high humidity so excess moisture is getting to the product and setting the powder. You dont have it in your bathroom or anything do you?

Throw the chunks in a blender. Should help. Future reference throw it in fridge or freezer and make sure you have no moisture on your hands when you get a scoop out. Helps if you leave the scooper out and in a dry area.

I keep my stuff in a cabinet above the microwave. My Pump-bol hardened up about 2 weeks ago and I've been breaking it up with the scoop and mashing it against the sides to get it back to powder before I dish it every time. Ultima is just now starting to harden. Does storing in the fridge actually work?

Ramrod this was the best advice next to storing in fridge.
I got some O.N. pre from a friend and it was chunky. I was going to toss it but put it on the shelf for a bit. Was running low on the pre-workout I had and didn't want to buy anymore yet. Looked up to see if there was anything I could do with the Pre and came across this forum. It worked!
Another month of saving LOL

I stick a fork in there and start breaking up into chunks. Either pop a piece in like candy or shake it up. It usually smooths out pretty quick.

Stick them in the freezer. The next day, it should break up more easily, then keep it in the freezer. Unfortunately, I deal with that constantly due to Alabama humidity. :/

I've had Pump Igniter harden up on me. I just broke off what felt like an appropriate sized chunk, and popped it into my mouth on the drive to the gym. Convenience and pumps all in one

I think moisture getting into the container somehow can cause this that's why most containers say store in a cool dry place on them.

I've had this happen in the past.
I've put them in a food processor and then back in the cabinet to have the same clumping.
Repeated the same process and then placed them in the frog with great success.
I've also done the bread in the container (like you do with brown sugar) and this works really well.
I put the bread slice in an open baggie and place in the tub. Next morning, just like new.

Been there done that
This happened to me before and I couldn't even get a power drill to break it up at all. Nothing was coming out of this container. Sure I could have just tossed it but I was determined to see if I could salvage it . I decided to fill the container of no explode with water so that it was just above the surface of the hardened supplement. I put the over and on let soak in fridge for six hours then took a fork and scraped the surface well and.poured it into ice cube tray. I am using the ice cubes for pre-workout. I had to repeat this about seven times but dissolved it all and it didn't go to waste. It's hard to judge the amount you are using so start off with 1/4 of a cube and go from there. The cubes don't freeze completely hard solid. Next time I won't neglect a supplement so long and make sure the cover is on tight so this doesn't happen again.
