My workout friends told me that I can and should work my abs/obliques everyday to get my six pack out more... So yesterday, I decided to start working them everyday. When I woke up today, they were sore, but I decided to go ahead and do them again today because of what they said.
Anyways, when I went to the gym and started to do some ab exercises, leg raises, ab crunch machine, etc, my abs hurt really badly and I couldn't do as much weight and reps on my exercises.
Does my body just need to get used to it? Or should I do them maybe every other day? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Nutrition is the most important factor. Doing cardio for 30+ minutes or high intensity interval training (HIIT) will also help to burn off extra fat. Training is not needed as everyone naturally has a 6-pack, but it can definitely help build the muscle to be bigger so you probably want to do exercises as well. A few good ones are: hollow rocks, weighted situps, hanging leg raises, jackknives

Maybe it is you that's the dum dum. Six packs are NOT made in the kitchen, they're made in the gym like every other muscle. IMPOSSIBLE to overtrain your abs, go back to the gym and start lifting before you tell people to train less.
Don't listen to this guy. Train your abs every single day. Depending on your recovery have light and heavy days.

Everyone has a sixpack. It's just the fat that covers it, but ofcourse training abs will help devolpe them like etc get the side abs/abdominal etc. Dudes like Greg Plitt (one of the greatest abs on the earth) trains them everyday but I don't really see the point, i train them 1-2 a week
