Fitness book recommendations
Hi guys!
I was wondering if you have any good books on fitness and/or nutrition you recommend? Women and fitness in particular but not limited to that alone.
I'm basically looking to build some muscle and tone up. So hardcore bodybuilding is not for me.
Anyway any suggestions are helpful Thanks!

I strongly recommend The New Rules of Lifting for Women by Lou Shuler, Alwyn Cosgrove, and Cassandra Forsythe.

The above book is an excellent book! If I were you though I would read several different books. You will probably see significant differences in some of them. Just make sure to bounce your the plan you develop off the ladies here as a lot of misconceptions exist on female body building and unfortunately most of them make it into print. While coming up with something for my wife I read lots of different books and it was definately to my advantage to be able to come here and bounce ideas off some of the women here who have had success!

I just picked up this book yesterday, I'm looking forward to reading it!
I also recommend Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto. Another great read.

I love Strength Training Anatomy by Frederic Delavier. A very straight forward how-to. No nutrition advice though.

I was thinking of buying this one. Good to hear a couple of folks recommend it.
To the OP, get on Amazon and do a search for female fitness/weight lifting books. You can read tons of reviews there.

- Strength Training Anatomy by Frederic Delavier
Bodybuilding Encylopedia by Arnold Schwarzenegger
Bodybuilding 101 by Robert Wolff
My favourite - Super Vixen by Jayde Nigra (out of print but used copies are available)
The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno - I know it's not a fittness about but your diet does play an important role in over all fitness

Try "Flex Appeal by Rachel" by Rachel McLish and Bill Reynolds. Out of print, but a great foundation for a woman's strength-training library. It covers most everything A to Z and even at 25 years old the information is still valid and engaging.

Funny you should mention that. I can't stand Tosca Reno. Something about her writing style drives me crazy.

I reccommend the ebook Truth About Six Pack Abs, you can't buy in stores.

I also reccommend this ebook, The Fat Burning Furnace which is also excellent:

They are NOT scams, in case anyone is worried. They are backed with money back guarantees and are scam-free according to siteadvisor.com, and it is the best I've read out, giving the whole truth that is easy and guarantees the fastest results.
