I've been noticing more veins in my hands and upper forearms over the last couple weeks since I've begun doing HIIT cardio. Does this mean I'm losing body fat in order to make the veins more visable? If so, I would imagine I should be able to expect to lose the body fat in my trouble areas (abs/obliques) over the next few months. Anyone have any insight? Thanks

I notice more vascularity as well, but I can't say for sure if it's due to losing body fat.
It seems logical to think that one is related to another, but there are likely other causes that could attribute to increased vascularity that you may be unaware of.
Let me know if you find out more as it seems that we are on the same line of thinking here.

having more vascularity is the result of decreasing bodyfat in some cases, as if you have too much fat your veins won't show up. But if you're working out and you see you have more vascularity, it would most probably be because you have a higher blood pressure when you're pushing your body, compared to when you're not.
I hate signatures, but I love irony.

Vascularity is often because when a person starts exercising (primarily cardio combined with resistance) and makes progress of becoming Fit, the body increases blood volume to increase efficiency and recovery. Its not necessarily blood pressure. Fit people get higher lung volume and blood volume. Blood pressure is often related to excessive pressure from fat on kidneys why belly fat is the worst or plaque laden veins and arteries.
