There are no "weight classes" per sey. Your actual score is based off of weight lifted, your bodyweight, and age if applicable.
If you go HERE it may help explain how scores are totaled. Scroll all the way down for more information.

That doesn't matter man. The best thing about it, is that once you compete for the first time and get numbers on the boards you have something to shoot for and beat next time. Much better motivation to beat your old numbers when they are posted for the world to see and ranked to other people from around the globe.

I may compete.
What about raw vs geared? And what are your terms on them? I mean like, raw = belt only, etc.

Yes, only a belt is allowed or you can go beltless. No gear or singlets are allowed. This is also covered in the rules that are linked above I believe.

Currently we don't allow video of live meets to be submitted. This is due to singlets not being allowed in virtual meets and other variables that are different between the two.
We are offering many meets throughout the entire year. My first post included our 2008 meet schedule, so if you're still interested there should be something for you to compete in.

Yay! Virtualmeet!
Say hi to Kris for me!
I cannot compete myself, I have my meet only 5 days earlier, and still don't have a camera. Good luck to all that will join.

Thanks to everyone that has posted thus far, whether you're thinking of signing up or not. Just trying to get the word out and hopefully snag a few people in the process.

I think I may give this a go as a good intro to me for powerlifting. So let me get this clear... we don't have have to film the entire time in the gym correct? just the attempt so long as they are submitted is that right?

No, you don't have to film the entire time at the gym. However, you do have to keep the total time alloted for the meet under the specified time. I think it is 2 hours max for full meets.

Actually you keep track of your own start time and ending time, which cannot exceed the max time allowed for the meet. Then when it comes time to upload your videos you will be asked for this information along with some other info.

Just so everyone that may give this a shot is on the same page, to enter for this meet you have to create an account on virtualmeet.net and then to register for the meet you go to: MEET SIGN UP, which is under MEET TALK in the forums. There are also links there for other languages.
