Dude, nice tat! I've thought about it a few times, but I've always chicken'd out. Glad you like it.

Thanks, man... I'm already thinking about my next one. The thought of needles and pain scared the hell out of me... but it was NOTHING like what I imagined.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice, for I am a hunter,
And I must have my freedom.

Congrats on getting your first tattoo, Mark. Welcome to the Brotherhood Of Ink! it looks good. Now enjoy the healing process. It should be fun for you. Wish I had more time to read the boards so I can follow the surprises you'll have with it.

Great tat, Mark. Good for you taking the time to get the design you really want. And you are already thinking about #2! LOL. I got my first one after a year and half of hard thinking, then got my 2nd not too long after. A friend of mine refers to tattoos as potato chips - you can't have just one.
I took my wife and her sister to get their firsts about a year ago and they were planning their second ones on the drive home.

Morn'n Jag! I had a feeling you were still lurking around here! The experience was nothing like I thought it would be. This morning there's no red, no puffiness, either. Figured there would be. I know you've been busy, but keep in touch!
Hi Kris - I figured it was now or never... needed to get done.
Legs aren't too sore today. Did have some DOMs yesterday, though.
CJ - There's no such think as a good Catholic boy. Pagan? Eh, I don't think so. Last time I checked the 83 code (not that I would know where to find one), there were no prohibitions against it.
Thanks Lisa. Yep - this was the one, once I saw it.
Hi Elise! Thanks. Now, why did I know SOMEONE would say something about the date on the camera. Changing it right now!
Hey! That's not nice. Your time to be mean is over!
Thanks, Bun!
Eh! Who's the boss in that house anyway!!?? Oh... yah... I forgot. CJ, let the boy have another... come on... it's only a little more time in Purgatory he'll get for it.
Hey Berg, thanks. It took me about two years to find the right one... glad I waited. The next will be a celtic design of some sort to reflect the other portion of my heritage. I'm trying to talk my wife into her first for her birth day.
Thanks for dropping by folks.

Nice looking ink there pal.

Happy 4th, everyone.
Quick but intense leg workout today - 60 second rests in between sets
Leg Press - 530lbs 2x12, 620 1x10, 710 1x10, 800lbs 1x8
Sumo Leg Press (for the hams) - 530lbs 3x10. My hams are still burning.
Donkey Calf Raises (machine) 130lbs 1x20 on each foot angle (straight, in, out)... then one more set, with my foot straight to failure at 14. Short rests on these - about 30-40 seconds.
Well, that's it from here. Have a great holiday, everyone.

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice, for I am a hunter,
And I must have my freedom.
