I was wondering if you guys lift, and get those red lines from where the weight was. Know what I'm talking about? Do some heavy squats, say 350, and you get those red lines for a couple days.

Yeah, I get them from the standing calf raise machine. They almost look like stretch marks.

The answer to your question is this....
the weight stretches the fascia over the muscle...this breaks capillaries...and you get red marks!
They often look like a bruise, sometimes a real spotty appearance.
Tight muscles often have tight fascia.
The traps muscles are a good example!
I got the same thing doing calf raises on the machine with about 80kg on the stack!The science is out there!
