Not quite perfect dieting

I want to know, if I eat only like 4 times a day, instead of 5-7, but am still eating right (40% prot, 40% carb, 20% fat), would it be detrimental to my cutting diet? Mind you, I'm well built and i'm only interested in dropping the extra pounds and even loosing some muscle (I'm only 5'6 and I look too wide with a lot of muscle mass). Thanks.

You are probabaly fine, but eating more frequently will spike your metabloism. IN other words, it helps you burn more calories throughout the day even when you arent exercising. Or in other other words it increases your basal metabolic rate, so you can sit on your ass and be burning more calories.
