Hi: I just took all my measurements (with the help of dh)--waist, hips, etc., and am wondering if anyone knows of some sort of calculator on a website that gives an estimate based on one's stats about leanness and such. i found one that took some measurements (beyond just height and weight), and told me an estimate of bmi but wondering if there were others. i hope i'm making sense; tia.

Numbers dont do much unless you get a really accurate test done. Ie submersion test for body fat. Your prolly better off posting a pic, and asking for advice.

You could try: www.mybodycomp.com - But it is REALLY inaccurate....

There is also: http://www.bblex.de/en/calc/navy.php - This one is better for people who are fitter....

But otherwise calipers and the mirror are going to be your best bet for 'do it yourself'...

Otherwise you move onto the dunk tests (eg: www.fitcheq.com ) or DEXA's (which are really expensive and similar to a big xray of your body - so health risks are also involved)...

i've gotten a couple readings of about 18%, which i'd guess to be about correct.
