bench gains....
I need some serious gains for next football season.Right now I am 14 and will be a soph. next year.I am around 140 to 145 pounds and can bench around 150.Is it possible to reach 200 by next school year on my bench?I am lifting 4 days a week and taking a creatine supplement and trying to eat right. In another thread I saw some about the Blast your Bench 2 program and thought I might try that during the summer.Has anyone had any experience with that program? Thanks

It's very possible.
I haven't tried the program, but I've looked at it. Seems fairly sound, but hardly a magical formula.
I recommend either some westside training or wave training.

You can get well over 200, dont use that program more often than every 3 months, and by the way, it works wonders! After i finished the program i maxed at 240lbs, and i only weigh 135 so it really works, im doin it again in mid feb after wrestling is over, good luck, oh yea and remember dont stop lifting for more than 2 days after the program is finished because i did taht an dlost alot on my bench. later man

hey, how long do you have to wait before going on the program again?? three months you say? I am stuck at another plateau and decreasing and its pissing the hell outta me. I just did the program 3 weeks ago. Is it too soon to use it again. I need to f*ckin break it.

That sounds good.I will do it this summer once football offseason is over(we lift in there 4 days a week),which will be during the summer.Hope this **** actually works, but anyways it's not to much money.

yea Flexxx it is def too soon to use that program again, because the whole idea of the program is that your muscles are not used to that type of training so the get shocked into growth, and if u use it for more than 3 weeks at a time u wil be overtraining, but i mean with only 3 weeks of a regular lifting schedule, the program may not work again because your muscles will know what hit them this time so they wont grow as much. if ur stuck at a number on bench, think of how u can change things around to get them to grow again, like switching to dumbells for a while, or doing pyramids instead of just the old 3 sets of 10 or whatever u may use, just switch it up. hope i helped

yes it wil go down if u stop training because when i put up 240 my shoulder was sore so i took a week off, then i maxed again and only put up 205. He gives an outline to a good program to follow after blast ur bench is over

you should always ahve a spotter. ive been working out for 7 months, nad never had a spot once accept when i tried max 2 days ago(225 for 2-second one with help) but ive been pinned under the bar a couple times, and its dangerous. plus you can get more out of your owrk out, liek 2 more reps per set with a little help.
