    bulking with 7,000 calorie diet...

if you bulk with an insanely high calorie diet, like 7,000, then would you cut at 6,500? will this actually work or am i a retard for asking this question?

lol. if you bulk with 7,000 calories which is prolly a few thousand over what you actually need reducing it to 6500 calories would only slow your weight gain....it all depends on what you need to maintain....+300 a day to gain -300cals a day to lose from your maintenance calories, the only way a cut would work on 6500 calories is if you maintained body weight at around 6800 calories....which you dont.

You're going to have to figure out what your maintenance daily caloric intake is and subtract a few hundred calories from that inorder to lose weight

slow bulk, you will gain more muscle and you wont have to cut as long, no sense in bulking and gaining a ton of BF when you could accomplish the same goal in less amount of time by only eating 300-500 cals over maintenece.

Assuming your daily expenditure is 3500 cals, a surplus of 3500 cals would = 1 lb. Also assuming no steroids involved, meaning a max of 0.5lb new muscle a week, and your gaining 1lb/day = 7lb/week, you'd be gaining 6.5lb of fat a week. A good path to travel if you aspire to be a sumo wrestler.

it doesn't make the fast food healthy, I prefer my meals that I know are good for me. I don't care to eat much more over 3k, I am very full at the moment.
Realize that anyone with an affiliation to a supplement company in their signature has ulterior motives when making recommendations. They're primarily concerned with pushing their products. Not your safety or what's best for you.

    lol. "great" is relative.

unless youre running marathons everyday, you wont need 7000 calories. IF, you actually did maintain at that, then yes, you could cut at 6500 in theory...

bulking is a good idea, but it should be done in moderation.

i weigh 220 pounds, and when i bulk i go just over 4000 calories a day.

oh god no i didnt mean it like that. of course you have to work super hard and eat more, but i am a real workout junkie and i would absolutely love to be able to lift more often per week and and be able to recover faster. i would also love to be able to eat more fast food bc even though it is terrible for you health wise, i, like most americans, love the taste and crave it sometimes

anyways i didnt mean to start a steroid discussion bc i obviously dont know enough about that, but was just wondering about a diet like this

Im 6'1 220 and Im on a bulk right now at 5000. I made the mistake of going from 2800 to 5000 overnight. I am happy with the gains so far but I did puit on some unwanted bodyfat and probably would have benefited more from a slow increase. As far as cutting I am going to reduce my cals back down to 2500 instantly and hopefully reap the benefits of a metabolism that is accustomed to 5k! As posted earlier by full out reducing it to 6500 calories would only slow your weight gain....it all depends on what you need to maintain....+300 a day to gain -300cals a day to lose
