Appreciate the inspiration from the vids. You're weights are progressing consistently. You have to be looking forward to finishing your cut. This is the time you get to rebound and make some "almost noob" gains.

Hey Coach, glad you liked the vids. I am really looking forward to ending the cut. Took the boys out to eat this evening. I had an unsweet tea while they stuffed their little faces with burgers, fries and chicken nuggets. Can't risk not knowing whats going in my body right now. Looking forward to those gains!
Wendler Fullbody. Have you looked at running Madcow or a Stronglifts 5x5? Those programs are great for adding strength and size. I'll probably run Madcow sometime this year once I get my deadlift up to where it needs to be.

Progress Week 26
...Finally cracked the 10% mark. Planning to officially end the cut a week from today. The thing I've learned from following a few journals is if it ain't broke don't fix it. So I'm not going to take any big swings on my nutritional plan or my training plan. I'll make some minor adjustments to both but that's really it. Baby steps.

Thanks for the compliments coach. I just train hard, eat right and stay away from unhealthy things. I'm a big believer in eating foods that aren't processed. The majority of my diet comes from foods in which you can pronounce the ingredients. When I give diet advices to normal people that's the second thing I say. Count calories and eliminate as much processed garbage from your diet as you can.
Hey Jeff, nice of you to drop in, thanks for subbing. I'm about the leanest I've ever been. I honestly was fooling myself about how much fat I was actually carrying. I've always been thin but I've never been truly lean. I have every intention of changing that and keeping it that way.
LOL, thanks. That's just a crappy cell phone camera pic. I'll try and take some shots this weekend. A new avi is in order, I've had it for quite a while.

Speaking of micro loading, search for pace weights. Best $40 investment I have made. Set of nine .5 lb magnetic weights, allowing you to go up a half pound at a time.

...Increased carbs slightly today. The extra count is coming from mixed veggies. No pavement pounding this morning. Legs are still pretty sore from Tuesdays session plus I was also up till past midnight working on a project for work. I noticed my knees have been pretty sore the last couple days too. Never used to have that problem when I was squatting ATG. I may do some experimenting next week with the bar position and depth. I'm still not 100% comfortable with the modifications I put in place a couple weeks ago.
Yep, I bought some 1.25lb plates a few months ago. Great investment.

....Excellent day in the shed. The increase in carbs did me good. My waist taped about 1/16 away from 30 so I felt like I had met my goal for the cut. I won't go crazy on carbs but did have a small cheat meal consisting of a bagel w/ cream cheese and some yogurt parfait for breakfast, actually it was second breakfast.
Thanks, I need to work on my technique a bit next week. After watching a few of my vids I noticed how low the bar sits on my back. Probably try and move it to on top of the traps like on an Oly squat.
More good work. Always have to coment when I see Pullups/Chins in someone's journal.
Headed your way second week in July for 2-3 days. Bringing my wife and kids, sister and mother all down. Hitting Williamsburg on the way home for a day. Should be fun.Where the mind goes the body follows.

Progress Week 27
...So the cuts over and I took some progress shots this morning and measurements. I always dread these days. For the immediate future I'm going to keep my diet pretty much the same only I'm going to allow 100g carbs on rest days and 200g on training days. Hopefully this keeps me lean over the summer and allows enough calories to grow on. If not we'll make adjustments along the way.
Measurement
All measurements take first thing in the morning, cold, flexed.
Neck........16.50
Chest .......42.50
Forearm....12.00
Hips.........39.50
Calves......15.50
Shoulders..49.00
Arms........14.50
Waist.......30.25
Thigh.......24.00
Will do.
I know the feeling all to well. Cereal, granola bars, bread, beer, bagels, etc. I could easily eat 10K calories in a day.Where the mind goes the body follows.

For bodybuilders, high bar is a better way to go IMO; it'll allow you to stay a bit more upright, which will help to slightly shift a little more of the load off the glutes/hams and onto the quads. The tradeoff is a little less weight lifted, but again, for bodybuilding, that's secondary anyway.
As long as it took me to be able to do that many pullups, I appreciate the comment. No brain, no gain.
