    steroid questions

My wife is into amateur fitness competitions and she is coming up on a well deserved off season. She is much smaller, build-wise, than most other girls in fitness and she complains of it often. She doesn't like the huge female bodybuilding type of bodies and the misshapen faces and manly features that go with it, but she is interested in gaining more muscle to make up for her lack of genetics. From experience, would a single 8 week cycle of a low androgenic steroid stack help her here without adverse effects? I am under the impression that the masculinizing effects come with high doses of high androgenic steroids with frequent cycles.

She might do well in FAP(fitness america) competitions because they don't look for muscularity and extreme definition. As far as steroids or even prohormones, even non-androgenic ones can have masculizing effects on women.

She isn't interested in Fitness America, and her goal is to go IFBB Fitness Pro. She has the potential, and I know she could get to that level in a year or two, but she was just curious about the steroids to get her a headstart in her journey. She is trying to understand them more, getting all sides of the story, seeing that most info about them for women is negative.

If she has the potential, she's probably better off staying natural. It will take longer to gain the muscle, but she will be healthier and will not have to worry about negatively impacting her femininity. She will also be much more successful as an IFBB fitness pro if she doesn't do anything that could negatively impact her femininity. Some women use deca-durabolin or the legal equivalents(19 nor PH) and get great gains without negatively impacting their femininity, but there is always a risk. I've seen some women with great bodies who used deca and clen at times, yet years later they seemed to hold less fat in their face. There are enough steroids in IFBB bodybuilding. I just feel that the fitness look is attainable enough without that and hate to see attractive women resorting to that when they could achieve that look naturally.

My 2 cents...you might want to ask some of these questions in the steroid forum. There might be women in there who can help or who know. As a natural bodybuilder, I can't give you much help on this one.

I can tell you though, through a friend who is in the IFBB now, that there is more than just the drugs...breast implants, amazing gymnastics feats, etc.

    Good luck.
